Abstract
IV ABSTRACT In this study, characteristic properties of some endemic species belong to Subgenera Susiana Spach., Hermodactyloides Spach. and Scorpiris Spach. of genus Iris L. ( /. sari. I. nectarifera var. mardinensis, I. nectarifera var. nectarifera, I. histrioides and /. galatica ) were investigated by view of phenology, morphology, anatomy and ecology. The similarities and differences between four species were determined following the identification of diagnostic characters. The cross-sections from root, rhizome, stolon, bulb, stem, leaf and flower of species were prepared and the anatomical structures of species were compared. The analysis of N %. P % and K % from under ground and above ground parts of the four plant were realized in ecological investigation. Furthermore, some physical and chemical analysis were made in soil samples of 0-20 cm depth. It is observed that the concentration of N, P and K is high in under ground parts in vegetative development period. In phonological investigation, the developmental stages were observed periodically from the first formation of above ground parts till the fruit formation.
