Bal Arısı (Apis Mellifera)'nda Kıl Uzunluğunun Mevsim ve Yaş Değişimi İle İlişkisinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada bal arıları (Apis mellifera L.)'nda kıl uzunluğu ve yoğunluğu üzerine mevsim ve yaşın etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.Çalışma 2009 yılı Mayıs, Haziran, Temmuz, Ağustos ve Eylül aylarında yürütülmüştür. Her ay 3'er koloni olmak üzere toplam 15 koloniden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada tarlaya çalışan ve çalışmayan işçi arıların kıl uzunlukları ve yoğunlukları belirlenmiştir. İşçi arılarda kıl uzunluğu ve yoğunluğu 0., 10., 20., 30., 40., ve 50. gün yaş dönemlerinde ölçülmüştür.İşçi arılarda kıl uzunluğu (mm) ve yoğunluğu (adet) hem aylara hem de yaşa göre önemli (P<0.001) farklılık göstermiştir. Tarlaya çalışan işçi arılarla çalışmayan işçi arıların kıl uzunlukları arasında önemli (P<0.01) farklılık bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, kıl uzunluğu ile ay, kıl uzunluğu ile yaş, kıl uzunluğu ile ay ve yaş arasında önemli (P<0.01) negatif ilişki belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte kıl uzunluğu ile ay tarlaya çalışma ve yaş arasındaki korelasyon ise önemsiz (P<0.05) bulunmuştur.

The aims of the present study were to determine the effects of the season and age on the worker honey bee (Apis mellifera L. ) hair length and density.This study was carried out in the May, June, July, August and September during 2009. In each month 3 colonies were selected randomly and total of 15 colonies were used. In the study we measured the hair length and density of worker bees that to go to field free and restricted. The hair length and density of worker bee which on the age of 0., 10., 20., 30., 40. and 50.th days were measured.It was found that the hair length and density of worker honey bee significantly changed in accordance to the months and ages in both. There were significant (P<0.01) differences between the hair length and density of worker bees of the free and restricted to the field. In addition there were significant (P<0.01) negative correlation between the hair length and month, hair length and age, and hair length and month and age. However there were no significant (P>0.05) correlation within the hair length and month age and restricted or free to field.
