Özel Yetenekli Öğrencilere ve Eğitimlerine Yönelik Algılar

Abstract

This master's thesis is a phenomenology study conducted to reveal the perceptions and beliefs of parents about the education and training of gifted students who receive education and training services within the scope of special education services in Science and Art Centers affiliated to the General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services of the Ministry of National Education. . First of all, the perceptions and beliefs of the parents were revealed in the light of the literature. Then, the perceptions and beliefs of the parents were revealed and evaluated. The research was designed as a qualitative research method, which allows for the in-depth examination of the participant interviews by interviewing the participants and the analysis and interpretation of the data obtained from the interviews. The main motivation of phenomenology, one of the qualitative research models, is what phenomena such as perception, thought and attitude express. In the research to be conducted, the method of data collection was chosen by interviewing the participants by using the semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. Data analysis was used in the research by using descriptive analysis and content analysis. In this context, 18 parents of students receiving special education services in Ataşehir, Kartal and Maltepe Science and Art Centers in Istanbul constitute the study group of the research. As a result of the research, when the findings obtained as a result of the research are evaluated, it is seen that the parents' perceptions and beliefs about the education of gifted students are not in line with the beliefs in the literature.

Bu yüksek lisans tezi Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı Özel Eğitim ve Rehberlik Hizmetleri Genel Müdürlüğüne bağlı olan Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinde özel eğitim hizmetleri kapsamında eğitim ve öğretim hizmeti alan özel yetenekli öğrencilerin eğitim ve öğretimlerine yönelik veli algı ve inanışlarını ortaya koymak için yapılan bir fenomenoloji çalışmasıdır. Velilerin algı ve inanışlarının neler olduğu öncelikle literatür ışığında ortaya konulmuştur. Daha sonra velilerin algı ve inanışlarının ne yönde olduğu ortaya konularak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma, katılımcılarla görüşmek suretiyle katılımcı görüşmelerinin derinlemesine incelenmesi ve görüşmelerden elde edilen verilerin analiz edilmesi ve yorumlanarak anlamlandırılması imkanını tanıyan nitel araştırma yöntemi şeklinde desenlenmiştir. Nitel araştırma modellerinden fenomenolojinin temel motivasyonu algı, düşünce ve tutum gibi olguların neler ifade ettiğidir. Yapılacak araştırmada araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmak suretiyle katılımcılar ile görüşme sağlanarak veri toplama yolu seçilmiştir. Araştırmada betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi kullanılmak suretiyle veri analizi yoluna gidilmiştir. Bu bağlamda İstanbul ilinde bulunan Ataşehir, Kartal ve Maltepe Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinde özel eğitim hizmeti alan öğrencilerin velilerinden 18'i araştırmanın çalışma grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonucu itibariyle araştırma neticesinde elde edilen bulgular değerlendirildiğinde özel yetenekli öğrencilerin eğitimlerine yönelik veli algı ve inanışları literatürdeki inanışlar ile uyumlu olmadığı görülmektedir.
