Publication: Potasyum 4-Metilpiperidin Ditiyokarbamat ile Bakırın Diğer Katyonlardan Ayrılması ve Spektrofotometrik Tayini
Abstract
52 SUMMARY In this study, the usability of potassium 4-melhylpipcridinc dilhiocarbamate (KMPDC), which is a new reagent in the spcctrophotomctric determination of copper, has been researched. For this purpose, KMPDC has been made synthesized from 4-mcthylpiperidinc potassium hydroxside and carbon disulphide in benzene. Then the aqueous solution of the reagent has been interacted with the solutious of Cu(ll), Ni(II), Co(II), Mn(II), Sn(II), Fc(III), Se(IV) and Te(IV) and mctal-MPDC complexes.have been synthesized some spectroscopic properties and composidions of the complexes have been examined. Extracting yellow-brown colored copper Cu(MPDC)2 complex, which has been produced in aqueous phase, into the chloroform phase and mesuring the absorbancc of chloroform extract at 435 nm, the spectrophotometric determination of copper has been varricd out. In order to prevent the iterfcrencc effects of other metals, which can be together with copper, and can be extracted under the same conditions, the tccnique of thin layer chrmotography (TLC) has been used. The method developed for the determination of copper has been applied to the standard solutions and some alloys samples of sea water. The results have been compared with the values whic was found in the same samples with method of atomic absorbtion spectrophotometer and it observed that the results arc very close each other. As a result, the present method can be wsed successfully for the determination of copper in the presence of Ni(TI), Co(II), Mn(II), Sn(II), Fe(IlI), Se(IV) and Te(IV).
