Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar'ın Gulyabani Adlı Eserinde Edebî Dilin Tanıklığı Sorunu

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, fantastik ve gerçeklik kavramlarının bir karşıtlık içinde algılanması temelinde ortaya çıkan edebî dilin tanıklığı sorunu tartışılmış; edebî dilin, muhayyel bir dünyanın inşası olması dolayısıyla fantastik bir gerçekliğe sahip olduğu, bu yüzden olguya değil olgunun imkânına tanıklık edebileceği iddia edilmiştir. Edebî dilin olgusal gerçeğe tanıklık edebileceği vehminin arka planı olarak, Tanzimat döneminde romanın hakiki, geleneksel edebî türlerin hayalî kabul edilmesine dikkat çekilmiştir. Ayrıca fantastiğin alımlanma sürecindeki değişiklikler, fantastik roman adlandırması üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Edebî dilin oluşturduğu gerçeklik duygusu, onun olguya tanıklık edebileceği vehminin bir kaynağı olarak ele alınmış; kıymetinin olguya tanıklığında aranmasının asıl yapmakta olduğu şeyin örtülmesiyle sonuçlanabileceği üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu bağlamda Gürpınar etrafında oluşan yorumlama geleneğinin, onun eserlerinin alımlanma sürecine etkisi değerlendirilmiştir. Hem edebî dil hem halk inanışları, muhayyel/kurgusal olmaları ancak yine de bir gerçeklik duygusu oluşturmaları dolayısıyla muhayyel ile dış gerçekliğin bir aradalığı olan ara dünyanın bir inşası olarak ele alınmış; aynı evreni paylaşan roman ile geleneksel halk inanışlarının karşıtlık içinde algılanamayacağı dile getirilmiştir. Gulyabani ise tüm söylenenler doğrultusunda gelenek içinde dönüşen ve dönüştüren; gerçeklik duygusu oluşturan; karşıt tezler üretmekten ziyade mizahi bir dil inşa ederek batıl inanışların itibarını sarsan bir eser olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Böylece edebî dilin olguya değil olgunun imkânına tanıklık etmesi, inşa edilen dilin imkânına tanıklık vesilesiyle ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.

In this study, the problem of the witness of the literary language, which emerges with the perception of the concepts of fantastic and reality in a contrasting framework, will be discussed. It will be claimed that literary language has a fantastic reality due to the fact that it is the construction of an imaginary world, and therefore it can witness not the phenomenon but the possibility of the phenomenon. As the background of the delusion that literary language can witness to the factual reality, attention will be drawn to the fact that the novel was considered real and traditional literary genres imaginary in the Tanzimat period. Changes in the reception process of the fantastic will be evaluated especially through genre studies. The sense of reality created by the literary language will be considered as a source of the delusion that it can witness the phenomenon; It will be focused on the possibility that the search for its value in witnessing the phenomenon may result in covering up what it is actually doing. In this context, the effect of the interpretation tradition formed around Gürpınar on the process of understanding his works will be evaluated. Since both the literary language and the folk beliefs are imaginary/fictional but still create a sense of reality, they will be considered as the construction of an intermediate world where imaginary and external reality are intertwined; therefore, it will be stated that the novel sharing the same universe cannot be contrasted with traditional folk beliefs. Gulyabani, on the other hand, in line with all that has been said, will be considered as a transforming and transformed; forming a sense of reality; as discrediting superstitions by constructing a humorous language rather than producing opposing theses. Thus, the fact that the literary language witnesses not the phenomenon but the possibility of the phenomenon, will be tried to be revealed on the occasion that witnessing the possibility of the constructed language.
