Publication: Bazı Asimetrik Schiff Bazlarının Mikrodalga Yardımıyla Sentezi ve Spektroskopik Özellikleri
Abstract
In this study, salicylaldehyde, 2-hydroxy-5-bromo-benzaldehyde, 2-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde, 2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzaldehyde, and 2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde react with 2-aminobenzylamine to give corresponding imines under microwave irradiation. However, Schiff bases prepared from 2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde have been not in literature yet and synthesized under classical heating. In this study, microwave-assisted synthesis method was compared with the classical method. All the products were confirmed with IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopic and elemental analysis methods.
