İlköğretim 7. Sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi İçin Web Tasarımlı Bir Öğretim Materyalinin Geliştirilmesi, Uygulanması ve Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, web destekli fen ve teknoloji öğretiminin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına, derse karşı tutumlarına ve öğrenilen bilgilerin kalıcılığına olan etkisini araştırmaktır. Araştırmada deneme modellerinden, ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2009-2010 eğitim öğretim yılının I. yarıyılında Samsun ili Kavak ilçesi Merkez İlköğretim Okulu 7. sınıf öğrencileri ile yürütülmüştür. Deney grubunda 30, kontrol grubunda da 30 olmak üzere toplam 60 öğrenci araştırmaya katılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubuna başarı testi, ön test, son test ve kalıcılık testi olarak, tutum ölçeği ise ön test ve son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Deney grubuna web destekli öğretim yöntemi, kontrol grubuna ise geleneksel öğretim yöntemi uygulandı.Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin son test başarı puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur ( t(60)=3.574, p< 0.05). Ayrıca deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin son test fen ve teknoloji tutumları arasında da istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur (t(60)=5.936, p< 0.05). Bununla birlikte deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin kalıcılık testi başarı puanları arasında da anlamlı bir farlılık bulunmuştur ( t(60)= 4.143, p< 0.05).Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, web destekli öğretim yönteminin, fen ve teknoloji derslerinde, geleneksel öğretim yöntemine göre öğrencilerin akademik başarısını artırmada ve öğrencilerin derse karşı olumlu tutum geliştirmelerinde geleneksel öğretime göre daha etkili olduğu ve kalıcı öğrenmeler sağladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bundan sonraki araştırmalarda geliştirilecek web materyallerinin fen ve teknoloji dersinin farklı konularındaki etkililiğini değerlendirecek çalışmalar yapılabilir.Anahtar Sözcükler: Geleneksel öğretim, web destekli fen öğretimi, başarı, tutum

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of web assisted science and technology teaching on the students? academic success, attitude towards the lesson and permanence of the learning knowledge. In the research among the experimental type, a half experimental pattern with pre test and post test control group is used. The research is conducted with the 7th class students in Merkez Primary School in Kavak in Samsun in the first semester of 2009-2010 training teaching year.There are 30 students in experiment group and 30 students in control group at this point totally 60 students have attended the research. The achievement test in the experiment and control group is applied as a pre, post and stability test, and then attitude test is applied as a pre and post test. Web assisted teaching method was applied for experiment group and traditional teaching method was applied for the control group.According to the findings derived from the investigation, statistically a significant difference was found between post test achievement scores of the control and experiment group (t (60) =3.574, p< 0.05). In addition, statistically a significant variation between post test science and technology attitude of experiment and control group was also discovered (t (60) =5.936, p< 0.05). Besides, a significant variation between the stability achievement scores of experiment and control group was also found ( t (60)= 4.143, p< 0.05).According to the findings obtained from the research , it was concluded that web assisted teaching method was more effective in science and technology lessons when compared with the traditional method in advancing students? academic success and developing positive attitude towards the lesson and enables stable learning. In the following research there can be made studies which evaluate the effectiveness of developing web assisted materials in the different subject of science and technology.Key Words: Traditional teaching, web assisted science teaching, success, attitude
