Abstract
Anahtar Kelimeler: Bakır (I) bromür; Amonyak gaz sensör; Kondüktometrik ölçüm
In this work, low temperature composite ammonia gas sensors were developed byusing copper (I) bromide. The performances of developed gas sensors were tested usingammonia gas vaporized from ammonia solutions having the concentration range of 10-1-10-6molL-1 in a conductometric measuring system. A linear response was obtained in the range of10-4-10-6 molL-1 for ammonia and the response time was short about 20 s for all sensorsapplied. Sensors used had useful lifetime without any decrease in their conductometricperformance.Single and multi channel ammonia gas sensors were also examined toward severalinterfering gas substances. Ammonia gas sensors used were highly selective to ammoniaaccording to the selectivity coefficients obtained by the separate solition method. Theobservation showed that the ammonia gas sensor that with multi channels has a higherperformance according to the other. The composite ammonia sensors developed here weresuccessfully applied for the tracing of ammonia released out by breathing of patients havingstomach and kidney deseases. The results demonstrates that sensors developed in this studymay be used to pre-diognosis of those kind of deseases. Keywords: Copper (I) bromide; Ammonia gas sensors; Conductometric measuring
