Abstract
Öz ERİOCHROME BLACK T VE BAZI GEÇİŞ MATALLERIYLE OLUŞTURDU?U KOMPLEKSLERİN POLAROGRAFİK VE VOLTAMETRİK DAVRANIŞLARININ İNCELENMESİ Metalokromik indikatör olarak bilinen Eriochrome Black T' nin elektrot reaksiyonu Britton-Robinson(pH=2, 00-12, 00), fosfat (pH=6,00-8,00), amonyak (pH=8, 50-10, 50) tamponlarında Doğru Akım Polarograf isi (DCP), Diferansiyel Puis Polarografisi.( DPP ), Kare Dalga Voltametr'isi (SWV) ve Dönüşümlü Voltametri (CV) yöntemleri kullanılarak incelendi. İndirgenme sırasında transfer edilen elektron sayısı potansiyel kontrollü kulometri (CPC) yöntemiyle tayin edildi. Dönüşümlü Voltametri (CV) yöntemi ile Eriochrome Black T' nin elektrot reaksiyonunun tersinmez olduğu sonucuna varıl mıştır. Eriochrome Black T' nin pKa değerleri Diferansiyel Puis Polarograf isi (DPP) ile 6,15±0,1 ve 10,88+0,1 olarak, Kare Dalga Voltametrisi(SWV) ile 6,38+0,1 ve 10,33±0,1 olarak belirlenmiş tir. Eriochrome Black T' nin toplam elektrot reaksiyonu, pH=2,00-5,00 aralığında; HO SO3 +8«T + 8H+ -^ r jf J'T2 + H2N şeklinde, pH=5, 00-12, 00 aralığında ise;SOo+Be +BH+ » J -HgO NHOH şeklinde verilmiştir. Eriochrome Black T'nin mangan, kobalt, bakır ve çinko ile 1:1 kompleksler verdiği, nikel ile oluşturduğu kompleksin ise 1:1 veya 1:2 şeklinde olduğu tespit edildi. Eriochrome Black T'nin mangan, kobalt, çinko komplekslerinin amonyak tamponunda (pH=9,50) nikel ve bakır komplekslerinin ise fosfat tamponunda (pH=6,00) yukarıda belirtilen yöntemler kullanılarak kompleks kararlılık sabitleri incelendi. V ABSTRACT THE INVESTIGATION OF POLAROGRAPHIC AND VOLTAMMETRIC BEHAVIOURS OF ERIOCHROME BLACK T AND SOME OF ITS TRANSITION METALS COMPLEXES The electrode reaction of Eriochrome Black T known as a metalochromic indicator has been investigated in Britton- Robinson (pH=2, 00-12, 00) phosphate (pH=6, 00-8, 00), ammonia (pH=9,50-8, 50), buffers using Direct Current Polarography (DCP), Differential Pulse Polarography (DPP), Square Wave Voltammetry (SWV) and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) techniques. The number of electrons transferred during the reduction of Erichrome Black T was determined by Controlled Potential Coulometry technique (CPC). It has been concluded through Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) that the electrode reaction of Eriochrome Black T is irreversible. The pKa values of Eriochrome Black T were determined as 6,1510,1 and 10,88+0,1 by Differential Pulse Polarography (DPP) and as 6,38±0,1 and 10,33±0,1 by Square Ware Voltammetry (SWV). The total electrode reaction of Eriochrome Black T in pH=2,00- 5,00 region may be given as; -5*r*-,Hö(X> rtHOHVI pH=5, 00-12, 00 interval it may me represented as; OH HO. SO, +6e~+6H+- 3 _ NHOH The manganese, cobalt, copper and zinc complexes of Eriochrome Black T are all always of a stoichiometric ratio of 1:1 whereas the nickel complex exhibits both 1:1 and 1:2 stoichiometrics. The complex stability constans of manganese, cobalt and zinc complexes of Eriochrome Black T in ammonia buffer (pH=9,50), and those of nickel and copper complexes in phosphate buffer (pH=6,00) were determined with the same techniques.
