Abstract

The reactions of PdCI<inf>2</inf>(L-L) [L-L = Ph<inf>2</inf>PCH<inf>2</inf>PPh<inf>2</inf>(dppm), Ph<inf>2</inf>PCH<inf>2</inf>CH<inf>2</inf>PPh<inf>2</inf>(dppe) and Ph<inf>2</inf>PCH<inf>2</inf>CH<inf>2</inf>CH<inf>2</inf>PPh<inf>2</inf>(dppp)] with equivalent amount of (Ph<inf>2</inf>P(S)NHP(S)Ph<inf>2</inf>)(dppaS<inf>2</inf>) gave the complexes [Pd(L-L)(dppaS<inf>2</inf>-H)]ClO<inf>4</inf> [L-L = dppm (1), dppe (2), dppp (3)]. The different synthetic route was used for complex 2 by using of Pd(dppe)Cl<inf>2</inf> and K[N(PSPh<inf>2</inf>)<inf>2</inf>] as starting materials (2a). All of these complexes have been characterized 31P{1H} NMR, IR and elemental analyses. The complexes 2, 2a and 3 were crystallographically characterized. The coordination geometry around the Pd atoms in these complexes distorted square planar. Six membered dppaS<inf>2</inf>-H rings are twist boat conformations in three complexes. © 2007 Elsevier Ltd.
