Abstract
In this study, M/M_i/n (heterogeneous) and M/M/n (homogeneous) queue models were analyzed and applied to compare performance (efficiency) measures. In heterogeneous and homogeneous systems, it has been shown to have Poisson and service times exponential distribution. In the heterogeneous system, the service periods consist of five channels with different service periods, while the adaptation of the heterogeneous system to the homogeneous system was established by taking the arithmetic average of the service periods of the heterogeneous system and the performance (efficiency) measures were calculated and compared. The existence of homogeneous systems in daily life is almost impossible. Most systems serve heterogeneously. In this context, it is revealed that the performance (efficiency) measures of the homogeneous system are better than the heterogeneous system, but heterogeneous systems should be used since this result does not reflect the reality.
