Öğrencilerin Rekreatif Amaçlı Spor Etkinliklere Yönelik Tutumları ve Okula Bağlanma Durumlarının İncelenmesi

Abstract

This study aims to examine students' attitudes towards recreational sports activities and their attachment to school in terms of some socio-demographic characteristics. The scope of the research is high school-age students studying in Samsun province and its districts, and the sample consists of 785 students, 396 women and 389 men, selected by a random sampling method among high school students studying in the 2021-2022 academic year. The 'Personal Information Form' prepared by the researcher as a data collection tool in the research, the ' Student Attitude Scale towards Extracurricular Sportive Activities (DSEÖTÖ)' consisting of 18 items developed by Yılmaz and Güven (2018) and the 'Children and School Attachment Scale for Adolescents ( OBÖ-CE-) ' was used. In the study, whether the total scores of the scale differ according to gender, older sibling, younger sibling, doing sports, having internet at home, smoking at home, age, number of siblings, duration of attending kindergarten, frequency of doing sports with Student's t-test. Whether it differs according to the variables such as, was determined by One-Way Analysis of Variance and Tukey's multiple comparison test. Results: 396 (50.4%) of the students participating in the research were female and 389 (49.6%) were male. In the study, it was determined that 14-year-old high school students exhibited more teacher attachment behaviour than those in the 18-year-old group. It has been determined that male students' attitudes toward extracurricular sports activities are higher than female students. It was determined that the attitudes of the students who declared that they did sports toward extracurricular sports activities were positive and the dimension of attachment to the teacher was higher than those who did not do sports. There was no significant difference between the attitudes towards extracurricular sports activities and the total scores and sub-dimensions of attachment to school for children and adolescents, according to internet presence at home. Finally, in the study, it was determined that there was a 43.8% positive and significant relationship between the participants ' attitudes towards extracurricular sports activities and their level of school attachment for children and adolescents. In this context, it is important to plan and implement extracurricular sports activities in parallel with education and to take measures to increase the participation and attitude of students in these activities to keep students connected to the school.

Bu tez çalışmanın amacı; öğrencilerin bazı sosyo-demografik özellikleri açısından rekreatif amaçlı spor etkinliklere yönelik tutumları ve okula bağlanma durumlarının incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini, Samsun ili ve ilçelerinde eğitim öğretim gören lise çağındaki öğrenciler, örneklemi ise 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında öğrenim gören lise öğrencileri arasından tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilmiş 396'sı kadın 389'u erkek olmak üzere toplam 785 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu' Yılmaz ve Güven (2018) tarafından geliştirilmiş 18 maddeden oluşan 'Ders Dışı Sportif Etkinliklere Yönelik Öğrenci Tutum Ölçeği (DSEÖTÖ)' ve Savi (2011) tarafından geliştirilmiş 14 maddeden oluşan 'Çocuk ve Ergenler İçin Okula Bağlanma Ölçeği (OBÖ-ÇE-)' kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, ölçek toplam puanlarının cinsiyet, büyük kardeş, küçük kardeş, spor yapma durumu, evinde internet var olma durumu, evde sigara kullanan olma durumuna göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği Student t-test ile yaş, kardeş sayısı, ana okuluna gitme süresi, spor yapma sıklığı gibi değişkenlerine göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği ise Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi ve Tukey çoklu karşılaştırma testi ile belirlenmiştir. Bulgular araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin 396 (%50,4)'i kadın, 389 (%49,6)'si erkektir. Araştırmada, 14 yaşındaki lise öğrencilerin 18 yaş grubundakilere göre daha fazla öğretmene bağlanma davranışı sergilediği belirlenmiştir. Erkek öğrencilerin kız öğrencilere göre ders dışı sportif etkinliklere olan tutumlarının daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Spor yaptığını beyan eden öğrencilerinin ders dışı sportif etkinliklere yönelik tutumlarının olumlu ve öğretmene bağlanma boyutunun spor yapmayanlara göre daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Evde internet olma durumuna göre Ders dışı sportif etkinliklere yönelik tutum ile çocuk ve ergenler için okula bağlanma toplam puanları ve alt boyutları arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilememiştir. Son olarak araştırmada, katılımcıların ders dışı sportif etkinliklere yönelik tutum ile çocuk ve ergenler için okula bağlanma düzeyleri arasında %43,8'lik pozitif anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, öğrencilerin okula bağlanmaları için ders dışı sportif etkinliklerin eğitim öğretim ile paralele bir şekilde planlanması ve uygulanması, öğrencilerin bu etkinliklerini katılımını ve tutumunu artırmaya yönelik tedbirlerin alınması önem arz etmektedir.
