Marmara Denizi' nin Haliç Bölgesinden Yakalanan İstavrit Balıklarında (Trachurus medîterraneus L., 1758) Görülen Hysterothylacium oduncum (Rudolphi,1802) Enfeksiyona ve Mevsimsel Dağılımı Üzerine Bir Araştırma ÖZET Haziran 2002 - Mayıs 2003 tarihleri arasında yürütülen bu araştırmada, Marmara Denizi'nin Haliç Bölgesinden yakalanan istavrit balıklarında {Trachurus mediterraneus L., 1758) bir nematod olan Hysterothylacium aduncum (Rudolpbi,1802) enfeksiyonunun varlığı, mevsimsel ve balık boylarına göre dağılımı yönünden incelendi. Haziran 2001 tarihinden başlayarak, balıklar 12 ay süreyle aylık periyotlarda yakalandı. Balıkların ağırlıkları ve total boylan kaydedildi. Solungaçlar, ağız boşluğu, karın boşluğu, mide, bağırsaklar, karaciğer ve kör keseler, ovaryumlar ve testisler ışık ve stereo mikroskobu kullanılarak paraziter yönden incelemeye tabi tutuldu. Hysterothylacium aduncum araştırma süresince bulunan tek nematod türü olarak belirlendi. Parazitin enfeksiyon oram ve enfekte balık başına ortalama parazit sayılan sırasıyla %97.4 ve 4.2 ±0.12 olarak kaydedildi. 11 A Research Study On Hysterothylacium oduncum (Rudolphi,1802) Infection and Its Seasonal Distribution In The Horse Mackerel (Trachurus mediterraneus Lin.,1758) Caught From The Golden Horn (Haliç) Region of Marmara Sea ABSTRACT In this research study carried out between June 2002 and May 2003, Horse Mackerels {Trachurus mediterraneus L., 1758) caught from the Golden Horn (Haliç) Region of the Marmara Sea were examined for the presence of Hysterothylacium aduncum (Rudolphi, 1802) infections and in terms of its seasonal and fish length distribution. Fish were caught with monthly intervals for a total period of 12 months beginning with June 2001. The weight and the total length offish were recorded. Gills, mouth and abdomen cavity, stomach, intestines, liver, pyloric caeca, ovariums and testis were examined using light and stereo microscopes. Hysterothylacium aduncum was the only nematode parasite determined throughout the investigation period. Infection prevalence (%) and mean intensity levels of the parasite were 97.4% and 4.2 ±0.12 per infected fish, respectively.
