Abstract
Bazı yeni sentezlenen kaliks[4]aren ve türevlerinin N,N-dimetilformamid (DMF) kullanılarak hazırlanan çözeltilerinin in vitro ortamda antioksidan aktiviteleri ve antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri tayin edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada bazı yeni sentezlenen kaliks[4]aren ve türevlerinin antioksidan özellikleri; toplam antioksidan aktivite, indirgeme gücü, süperoksit anyon radikali giderme aktivitesi, hidrojen peroksit giderme aktivitesi, serbest radikal giderme aktivitesi ve metal-şelat aktivitesi kullanılarak belirlendi. Karşılaştırma için butillenmiş hidroksianisol (BHA), butillenmiş hidroksitoluen (BHT), ?-tokoferol ve troloks standart antioksidan maddeler olarak kullanıldı. Bazı yeni sentezlenen kaliks[4]aren ve türevlerinin 100 ?M konsantrasyonundaki çözeltilerinin Ferrik Tiyosiyanat Metoduna (FTC) göre linoleik asit emülsiyonundaki peroksidasyonunda ölçülen inhibisyon değerleri, p-tert-BüCA[4](ACO)4 haricinde standart antioksidan maddelerden yüksek bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlara göre bazı yeni sentezlenen kaliks[4]aren ve türevleri genel olarak standart antioksidan maddelerden daha yüksek antioksidan aktivite göstermiştir ve konsantrasyon artışıyla antioksidan aktivite artmaktadır.Bazı yeni sentezlenen kaliks[4]aren ve türevlerinin antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri disk difüzyon yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir.. Çalışmada toplam 15 mikroorganizma kullanılmıştır. Kaliks[4]aren ve akriloil türevleri 100 µg/mL konsantrasyonunda Proteus vulgaris, Citrobacter freundii, Basicullus pumilis, Bacillus substilis olmak üzere dört mikroorganizma üzerinde zon çapı (mm) oluştururken, 200 µg/mL konsantrasyonunda yukarıdaki mikroorganizmaların yanında Aspergillus niger üzerinde de zon çapı oluşturarak antimikrobiyal aktivite göstermişlerdir.Yapılan çalışmayla; polifenolik yapıdaki kaliks[4]aren, p-tertbütilkaliks[4]aren ve bunların akriloil türevlerinin fenolik karakterlerinden dolayı, fenolik antioksidan ve antimikrobiyalların göstermiş olduğu antioksidan ve antimikrobiyal aktiviteyi gösterebildikleri belirlenmiştir. Antioxidant charactericstics of some newly synthetized calix[4]arene and its derivates were determined by using total antioxidant activity, reducing power, superoxide anion radical scavenging activity, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, free radical scavenging activity and metal-chelation activity. For comparison, butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), ?-tocopherol and trolox were used as standart antioxidant substances. Inhibition values in peroxidation of linoleic acid emulsion of the solutions of some newly synthetized calix[4]arene and its derivates at 100 µM concentration which were measured according to Ferric Thiocyanate Method (FTC) were found higher than standart antioxidant substances; besides antioxidant activity was to rise in line with the rise of concentration.Antimicrobial activities of the some newly synthetized calix[4]arene and its derivates were determined by disk diffusion method. For antimicrobial activity; 15 microorganisms were used in total. While zone diameter (mm) emerged on four microorganisims listed as Proteus vulgaris, Citrobacter freundii, Bacillus substilis, Bacillus pumilis at 100 µg/mL concentration of calix[4]arene and its derivates zone diameter also emerged on Aspergillus niger in addition to the above mentioned microorganisims, also antimicrobial activity was observed. Through this research, because of calix[4]arene in polyphenolic structure, p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene and the phenolic chracters of their acryoyl derivates, these could performed the same antioxidant and antimicrobial activity as the phenolic antioxidants and antimicrobials.
