Abstract

Purpose of Review Nanotechnology-based plant antioxidants stand out as promising agents in combating diseases asso-ciated with oxidative stress due to their improved physicochemical properties and targeted therapeutic capabilities. This review discusses recent developments in which the bioavailability, stability, and cellular uptake of natural antioxidants such as polyphenols and vitamins are significantly increased by nanoparticle encapsulation.
Recent Findings Nanoformulations selectively target various tissues using passive or active targeting techniques, reducing off-target impacts and improving therapeutic efficacy. These nanosystems have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-cancer characteristics in addition to their antioxidant benefits, offering versatile use in biomedical, agricultural, food, and pharmaceutical fields. Green synthesis of plant-based nanoparticles attracts attention as an environmentally friendly, low-cost, and scalable approach.
Summary Nanotechnology-based delivery systems enhance the bioactivity and therapeutic potential of plant antioxidants. These advancements pave the way for more effective and sustainable solutions in healthcare and related industries.
