Abstract
III ÖZET 'Luteran Protestanlık ve Modern Toplumun Oluşumundaki Doktrinel Temelleri' adını taşıyan bu doktora tezinde, Luteran Protestanlığın tarihsel süreci, doktrinel öğretileri ve bu öğretilerin modern batı toplumuna etkisi incelenmiştir. Luteran Protestanlığın tarihsel sürecinin çalışıldığı ilk bölümde, Ortaçağ'dan Aydınlanma'ya, sanayi devrimine ve modernleşmeye kadar uzanan batı Hıristiyanlığının dinsel tarihi, kronolojik sırayla ele alınmıştır. Tezin ikinci bölümünde Luteran Protestanlığın temel klasik kaynaklarına dayanılarak, Luteranizm'in teolojik öğretileri tanımlanmıştır.

In the third and last chapter, it discusses the effects of the historical process of Lutheranism and its doctrinal teachings on the basic dynamics of Modern Western Society. It was founded that the reformist doctrines created many new concepts such as secularism, laicism, absolutism, nationalism, national and bureaucratic state, liberalization, anti-Semitism and capitalism. It concludes that the doctrines of Lutheran reformation have affected deeply the modern Western culture. It is also suggested that in order to understand the present western society, it must be questioned the theological basis of this society.
