Abstract
S NOP YÖRES NDE AVLANAN EKONOM K ÖNEME SAH P BAZI DEN ZBALIKLARINDA KROMOZOM ÇALIŞMALARIÖZETBu çalışmada, Ekim 2005-Ekim 2006 tarihleri arasında Sinop yöresinden avlananlüfer (Pomatomus saltator Linnaeus, 1758), gümüş (Atherina boyeri Risso, 1810), dil(Pegusa lascaris Risso, 1810), mezgit (Merlangius merlangius euxinus Nordmann,1840) ve tirsi (Alosa fallax nilotica Geof. St. Hill., 1808)'nin kromozom sayılarıbelirlenmiştir. Lüfer, gümüş ve dil balığı örnekleri Akliman bölgesinden ığrıpçekilmesi, mezgit ve tirsi balığı örnekleri ise nceburnu bölgesinde ticari avcılık yapanbalıkçılardan alınmıştır. Kromozom analizleri ?Air-Dried (Havada Kurutma)? tekniği veG-bantlama metodu modifiye edilerek yapılmıştır.Yapmış olduğumuz çalışma sonucunda elde edilen sitolojik verilere göre,araştırmada kullanılan türlerin diploit kromozom sayıları sırasıyla; P. saltator'da2n=46±2, A. boyeri'de 2n=47±1, P. lascaris'de 2n=41±1, M. merlangius euxinus'da2n=60±5 ve A. fallax nilotica'nın 2n=47±1 olduğu belirlenmiştir.Ayrıca P. saltator balığı üzerinde yapılan sitolojik incelemeler sonucunda solungaçepitelinden hazırlanan bir preparatta mitotik aktivasyonun oldukça yoğun olduğubölgede ?halka (ring) kromozom anormalliği? tespit edilmiştir.Çalışmada kullanılan dokulardan elde edilen metafazlardaki kromozomlarınyeterince şişmemiş olmasından dolayı kromozomların yapıları incelenememiştir bunabağlı olarak da karyotipleri ve idioğramları hazırlanamamıştır.Ülkemiz denizlerinde yaşayan P. saltator, A. boyeri, M. merlangius euxinus veA. fallax nilotica türlerinin kromozom sayıları ve P. saltator'da görülen kromozomanormalliği ilk kez rapor edilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Kromozom, Karyotip, Deniz Balıkları, Halka KromozomAnormalliği, G-Bantlama .

St. Hill., 1808) were determined. Fishsamples were obtained from Sinop region between September 2005-September 2006.The samples of blue fish, silverside fish and sole fish were collected from Aklimanregion with seining, while whiting fish and mediterranean shad fish were obtained fromthe commercial fisherman in Inceburnu region. Chromosome analysis was carried outby using modified ?Air-Dried? technique and G-banding method.At the end of the cytological study, the diploid chromosome numbers of P,saltator, A. boyeri, P. lascaris, M. merlangius euxinus and A. fallax nilotica were2n=46±2, 2n=47±1, 2n=41±1, 2n=60±5, 2n=47±1, respectively.Furthermore, a ?ring chromosome abnormality? was observed in one of the slideprepared from gill epithell of P, saltator.The chromosome structure were not able to examine and karyotype andidiograms of fishes couldt not be prepared since the chromosomes in metaphaseobtained from the studied tissues were not swelled enough.This is the first report on the chromosome number of P, saltator, A. boyeri, M.merlangius euxinus and A. fallax nilotica and the ring chromosome number abnormalityin P, saltator from Turkish seas.Key Words: Chromosome, Karyotype, Marine fishes, Ring Chromosome Abnormality,G-Banding .
