Abstract
m THE FLORA OF THE SOUTHWEST AND NORTH (A5) OF BAKIRÇAY AND KARAKÖY STREAMS TAVŞAN MOUNTAIN (MERZIFON-AMASYA) ABSTRACT The research covers the flora of the southwest and north (A5) of Bakırçay and Karaköy Tavşan Mountain (Merzifon-Amasya). The research area is between the boundaries of Amasya, Merzifon and Gümüşhacıköy in the middle part of the Black Sea region. The research area is located- Dip mountain in the north, Dededoruk hill in the east, Sarayözü village (Gümüşhacıköy- Amasya) in the south and Göl mountain in the west where the average altitude is approximately 1350 m. The lower part of the research area is under the influence of Mediterranean climate where the Oceanic climate mostly affects the area. The largest part of the formation of the research area belongs to Eosen Age and consists of volcanic fasies. The small part of the high part to the area belongs to between low and high Creates Age and is in the structure of calcer. Because of the differences in the climate, basic stone and topography, naked stone and debris's. Brown forrest soil, gray-brown podzolic soil, unlined brown forrest soil, coluvial soil, brown soil, red brown soil and dark brown soil can be seen in the research area. 1603 plant specimens were collected and 970 specimens were examined by taxonomic way around and the area of research, between the years 1995 and 1996, 227 genera, 424 species and subspecies taxa, belong to 66 families were determined. The total of them is 424 taxa 55 there taxa (12.97%) endemic. The distribution to the families of 424 species are as fallows: Compositae (Asteraceae) 13.91%, Labiatae (Lamiaceae) 8.49%, Leguminosae (Fabaceae) 7.31%, Scrophulariaceae 6.13%, Graminae (Poaceae) 6.13%,IV Cruciferae (Brassicaceae) 5.66%, Caryophyllaceae %4.95 and other families 47,42% Distribution rates of the species into the phytogeographical regions are as fallows: Euro-Siberian 102 (24.06%), Iranio-Turanian 51(12.02%) Mediterranean 18(4.25%), the others are unknown and cosmopolitan. 7 of the total taxa belong to Pteridophyta, 417 are Spermatophyta Key Words: Amasya-Flora-Tavşan mountain
