Abstract
IV ABSTRACT In this work, tetracyanonickelate complexes, given by the general formula ML'Ni(CN), (where M= Mn, Fe, Co or Zn; L=3- or 4- methyl pridine), have been prepared for the first time and their molecular structures have been studied by infrared an Laser-Raman spectroscopies, and the results are reported. Spectroscopic studies show that; the complexes are in the forms of polimeric sheets, which consist of metal cyanite bridges as (M-Ni(CN),), and 3- or 4-methyl pridine molecules are bound to transition metals (M= Mn, Fe, Co or Zn) from nitrogene ends as ligand and they locate above or below the sheets. It was determined that, for the complexes with the same ligand (L) but different metal, ligand frequencies shift according to the metal and shifting amount increases in the order of Mn
