Abstract
Bu çalışma iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde tetraakuabis(metilizonikotinat) bakır(II) disakkarinat ([Cu(mein)2(H2O)4]?(sac)2, mein: metilizonikotinat) kompleksi sentezlenerek 300 ve 113 K'de tek ve toz kristal EPR spektrumları alınmıştır. Triklinik kristal sistemine sahip [Cu(mein)2(H2O)4]?(sac)2 kompleksinde Cu2+ iyonuna ait iki merkez, her bir merkeze ait bir site gözlenmiştir. Spektrumların analizinden g ve A tensörleri, esas eksen değerleri ve yön kosinüsleri belirlendi. Spin Hamiltoniyen parametreleri hesaplanarak Cu2+ iyonunun taban durumu dalga fonksiyonları oluşturuldu.İkinci bölümde ise tetraakuabis(4-asetilpiridin) metal(II) disakkarinat ([M(4-acpy)2(H2O)4]?(sac)2, M=Zn, Co, Ni, 4-acpy: 4-asetilpiridin) kompleksleri elde edilerek her bir komplekse Cu2+ iyonları katkılandırıldı. Monoklinik kristal sistemine sahip oktahedral koordinasyon küreli komplekslerin kristal örgüsünde bulunan merkez metal iyonları yerine Cu2+ iyonları safsızlık olarak yerleşerek paramanyetik merkez oluşturmuş ve oda sıcaklığında EPR spektrumları kaydedildi. Tek ve toz kristal EPR spektrumlarının analizinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre Cu2+ iyonunun yerel simetrisinin her üç yapı için de rombik olduğu belirlendi. Spin Hamiltoniyen parametreleri kullanılarak Cu2+ iyonunun eşlenmemiş elektronunun taban durumu dalga fonksiyonları oluşturuldu ve eşlenmemiş elektronun ligantlarda mı yoksa metalin d orbitali yörüngelerinde mi zamanını geçirdiği belirlendi.Ayrıca bu komplekslerin X-ışını kırınımı ve FT-IR çalışmaları hakkında bilgiler verildi.
This study is composed of two parts. In the first part, tetraaquabis(methyl isonicotinate) copper(II) disaccharinate ([Cu(mein)2(H2O)4]?(sac)2, mein: methyl isonicotinate) complex has been synthesized and EPR spectra of single crystals and powder were recorded both at room temperature and 113 K. There are two centers belonging to Cu2+ ion and each has one site in the [Cu(mein)2(H2O)4]?(sac)2 complex having triclinic crystal system. g and A tensors, principal values and direction cosines of the complex were identified by using the data obtained from the spectra. The spin Hamiltonian parameters have been calculated to construct the ground state wave function of Cu2+ ions for each paramagnetic center.In the second part of the study, tetraaquabis(4-acetylpyridine) metal(II) disaccharinate ([M(4-acpy)2(H2O)4]?(sac)2, M=Zn, Co, Ni, 4-acpy: 4-acetylpyridine) complexes have been synthesized and Cu2+ ions were doped to each complex separately. The Cu2+ ion which localizes in the main lattice instead of central metal ion of the complexes having octahedral geometry together with the monoclinic crystal system created paramagnetic center and consequently EPR spectra were recorded at room temperature. Using the results obtained from the analysis of EPR spectra of single crystals and powder, local symmetry of the Cu2+ ion was identified as rhombic for all there structures. Spin Hamiltonian parameters were used to construct the ground state wave functions of the unpaired electrons of Cu2+ ion and whether the unpaired electron spends its time on ligands or d orbitals of the metal was determined.Moreover, some information about X-ray diffraction and FT-IR investigation of these complexes were given.
