Sınıf Öğretmeni Adaylarının Demokrasi Algısı: Polonya-Türkiye Karşılaştırması

Abstract

Bu çalışmada iki farklı ülkedeki sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının görüşleri karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırma,2013-2014 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi ve Kazimierz WielkiÜniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören 36 sınıf öğretmeni adayı üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Nitel araştırmayöntemlerinden “olgubilim” deseninin tercih edildiği araştırmada veriler, zihin haritaları aracılığıylatoplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Türkiye ve Polonya’daki sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının demokrasikavramı ilkelerine ilişkin görüşlerindeki en temel benzerliğin “özgürlük” kavramında olduğu; öğretmenadaylarının haritaları incelendiğinde her iki grubun da demokrasi unsurlarına ilişkin “vatandaş/insanlar”kavramını ön plana çıkardıkları görülmektedir. Türkiye’deki öğretmen adaylarının demokrasi ilkelerinden“Eşitlik” ilkesini ön plana çıkarırken; Polonya’daki öğretmen adaylarının “Anayasa/Kurallar” ilkesini önplana çıkardığı görülmüştür.

. In this study, the views of the teacher candidates in the two countries were compared. The studywas conducted on 36 prospective primary school teachers who were studying at the universities ofOndokuz Mayıs and Kazimierz Wielki during the spring term of 2013-2014 Academic Year. In the researchwhich used “phenomenology” design, one of the qualitative research methods, the data was collectedthrough mind maps. The results of the research showed that the most basic similarity in the views ofprospective primary school teachers related to the principles of the concept of democracy was in theconcept of “freedom” and when the maps of prospective teachers were examined, it was seen that bothgroups brought to the forefront the concept of “citizen/human” related to the components of democracy.While prospective teachers in Turkey brought to the forefront the principle of “Equality” which is ademocracy principle, it was seen that prospective teachers in Poland brought to the forefront the principleof “Constitution/Rules
