Ortaokul öğrencilerinin Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi dersi ile dersin öğretmenlerine ilişkin metaforik algılarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, ortaokul öğrencilerinin Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi (DKAB) dersi ile dersin öğretmenlerine yönelik algılarının metafor yardımıyla tespit edilmesini amaçlamıştır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin metaforik algılarına etki eden değişkenlerin ortaya konmasına çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama deseni, veri analizinde ise içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılı Samsun ili Bafra ilçesindeki ortaokullarda öğrenim gören 1091 öğrenci katılmıştır. Bafra'daki 36 ortaokulun tamamına ulaşılarak öğrenciler seçilmiştir. Öğrencilerin 648'i (%59,4) kız, 443'ü (%40,6) erkek öğrencidir. Veri toplama aracı olarak dört bölümden oluşan bir anket kullanılmıştır. Birinci bölümde öğrencilerin kişisel bilgileri elde edilmiştir. İkinci bölümde öğrencilerin DKAB dersine yönelik metafor üretmesi istenmiştir. Bunun için öğrencilere "Benim için Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi dersi …………. gibidir; çünkü ……………" sorusu yöneltilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde öğrencilerin DKAB dersi öğretmenine yönelik metafor üretmesi istenmiştir. Bunun için öğrencilere "Benim için Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi öğretmeni …………. gibidir; çünkü ……………" sorusu yöneltilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde öğrencilerin DKAB dersi ve öğretmeni ile ilgili resim çizmeleri istenmiştir. Anketten elde edilen verilerin anlamlı hale gelebilmesi için öncelikle verilerin kodlanması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonrasında sırasıyla kategorilerin bulunması, kodların ve kategorilerin düzenlenmesi, geçerlik ve güvenilirliğin sağlanması, bulguların tanımlanması ve yorumlanması işlemleri uygulanmıştır. SPSS programı yardımıyla ki-kare analizi yapılarak veriler yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin DKAB dersine ilişkin metaforik algıları ile sınıf seviyesi, cinsiyet, okul türü, okul bölgesi, okul tipi, anne öğrenim düzeyi, baba öğrenim düzeyi ve DKAB öğretmeninin cinsiyeti değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin DKAB dersi öğretmenine ilişkin metaforik algıları ile sınıf seviyesi, cinsiyet, okul türü, okul bölgesi, aile ekonomik durumu ve DKAB öğretmeninin cinsiyeti değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin DKAB dersine yönelik metaforik algıları ile DKAB öğretmenine yönelik metaforik algıları arasında da anlamlı ilişki olduğu görülmüştür.

This study aimed to determine the perceptions of secondary school students towards Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge (RCMK) course and its teachers via metaphor. In addition, it was tried to reveal the variables that affect student metaphoric perception. In this research, the relational scanning design and content analysis technique that one of the data analysis were used. 1091 students who studying at secondary schools in Bafra district of Samsun province in 2017-2018 academic year participated in the study. Students were selected by reaching all of 36 secondary schools in Bafra. 648 (59,4 %) of the students are female students and 443 (40,6 %) of the students are male students. A questionnaire consisting of four parts was used as data collection tool. In the first part, students' personal information was obtained. In the second part, students were asked to produce metaphors for the RCMK course. The data of the part were collected with a question asked as "In my opinion Religious culture and moral knowledge course is like … because …". In the third part, students were asked to produce metaphors for the teachers of RCMK course. The data of the part were collected with a question asked as "In my opinion, the teacher of Religious culture and moral knowledge course is like … because …". In the fourth part, students were asked to draw pictures related to the RCMK course and its teachers. In order to make the data which obtained from the questionnaire meaningful, at first the data was coded. Afterwards, the procedures for finding the categories, editing the codes and categories, ensuring validity and reliability, identifying and interpreting the findings were performed. The data was interpreted by using chi-square analysis with SPSS program. As a result of the research, It has been determined that there is a significant relationship between students' metaphoric perceptions about RCMK course and their grade level, gender, school status, school district, school type, mother's graduation level, father graduation level, gender of RCMK teacher. It has been determined that there is a significant relationship between students' metaphorical perceptions about the teacher of RCMK course and their grade level, gender, school status, school district, family economic status, gender of RCMK teacher. In addition, it has been observed that there is a significant relationship between students' perception towards RCMK course and their perception towards the teachers of RCMK.
