Bis{4-[2-(2-Hydroxyphenyl)ethyleneamino]-phenyl} Ether

Abstract

In the title compound, C<inf>28</inf>H<inf>24</inf>N<inf>2</inf>O <inf>3</inf>, the two molecules in the asymmetric unit have different conformations about the ether bonds. The bond lengths and angles of the two molecules are nearly identical. The crystal structure is stabilized by intramolecular O - H⋯N and intermolecular C - H⋯O hydrogen bonding. © 2006 International Union of Crystallography. All rights reserved.
