Publication: Üriner İnkontinanslı Kadınlarda Cinsel Yaşam Kalitesi ve Yaşam Doyumu Arasındaki İlişki
Abstract
Aim: The purpose of this research; to examine the relationship between quality of sexual life and life satisfaction in women with urinary incontinence. Material and Method: The population of this study, which was conducted in accordance with the descriptive relationship-seeking principles, consisted of women with urinary incontinence who applied to the Urology and Gynecology and Obstetrics Polyclinic, a central and a district state hospital; and the sample of the study consisted of 210 women with urinary incontinence who accepted to participate in the study between October 2019-December 2019. The data of the study were collected using 'Patient Identification Form,' 'Quality of Sexual Life Scale,' and 'Satisfaction with Life Scale.' In the evaluation of the data; percentage, average, Cronbach's Alpha, Spearman's correlation, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis (post-hoc Tamhane's T2) test was used. In evaluations, p <0.05 value was considered statistically significant. The study started with the permission of the ethics committee and institution. Results: : The average age of women is 47.96 ± 12.31, the mean of BMI is 28.47 ± 5.99, the number of births is 2.86 ± 1.38, the mean scores of the YDI 15.30 ± 4.95, the mean of STSS score 66.83 It was found to be ± 21.06. It was found that the educational status, income status, the state of entering menopause, the frequency of urinary incontinence affect the quality of sexual life (p<0,05). There was a statistically positive, moderate, linear relationship between the mean scores of SWLS (Satisfaction with Life Scale) and the mean scores of QSL (Quality of Sexual Life Scale), and this relationship was found to be significant (p<0,05).
