Zaman Algısının Sözel Olmayan İfadelerin Tanısal Analizinden Seçilen Yüz ve Postür Resimleri ile İncelenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; Sözel Olmayan İfadelerin Tanısal Analizi (SİFTA)'nden seçilen yüz resimlerinin ve postür resimlerinin kişilerin zaman algısı üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Materyal ve Metot: Çalışmanın örneklemini Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde öğrenim gören 52 (26 kadın-26 erkek) kişi oluşturmaktadır. Kişilerin resimleri gördükleri süreyi yeniden oluşturması için bir bilgisayar yazılımı kullanılmıştır. Emosyonel resimlerin yüz içermesi ve postür içermesine göre kişilerin zaman algısında meydana gelen farklılıklar; kişilerin deney sonrası yaptıkları değerlendirme ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Bulgular: İstatistiksel analiz sonucunda kişilerin; resimlerin emosyonel durumunun zaman algısı üzerinde etkili olmadığı, insan yüzü resimlerinin postür resimlerine kıyasla daha uzun algılandığı gözlemlenmiştir. Resimlerin emosyonel içerikleri, her iki resim türünde (yüz içeren resimler ve postür resimleri) de zaman algısı üzerinde anlamlı fark oluşturmamıştır. Sonuç: Bu çalışma, literatürdeki çalışmalara ek olarak, insan yüzünün zaman algısı üzerindeki etkisine dair bir kanıt sunmaktadır. Aim: In this study, time perception of individuals was examined using emotional images selected from the Diagnostic Analysis of Nonverbal Accuracy (DANVA-2). Material and Method: The sample of the study consisted of 52 (26 women-26 men) who studied at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. A computer software was used to help people reconstruct the amount of time they saw the pictures. The differences in the time perception according to the emotional face and posture images were compared with the evaluation they made after the experiment. Results: As a result of statistical analysis, it was observed that the emotional situation of the pictures did not have an effect on the time perception, and that the pictures of the human face were perceived longer than the pictures of posture. The emotional content of the pictures did not make any significant difference in the time perception in both types of pictures (pictures containing human faces and posture pictures). Conclusion: This study, in addition to studies in the literature, provides evidence of the impact of the human face on time perception. Keywords: Time perception; Nonverbal Accuracy; Emotion; Arousal.
