Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, önce, lise öğrencilerinin ahlaki olgunluk düzeylerini etkileyen faktörleri teorik olarak incelemek ve bu faktörler ile ahlaki olgunluk arasında nasıl bir ilişki olduğunu ortaya koymaya çalışmaktır. Sonra, lise öğrencilerinin ahlaki olgunluk düzeylerini betimsel açıdan tespit etmek ve bu düzeyleri etkilediği düşünülen bazı kişisel değişkenler ile lise öğrencilerinin ahlaki olgunluk düzeyleri arasında önemli bir ilişkinin olup-olmadığını alan araştırması ile incelemektir. Alan araştırması, Samsun il sınırları içinde faaliyet gösteren liselerden, random yöntemiyle seçilen 830 lise öğrencisi üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Ahlaki Olgunluk Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Anketi ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel analizi ise, varyans analizi, t-testi, Scheffe ve LSD testleri ile yapılmıştır.Teorik inceleme neticesinde, biyolojik faktörler -kalıtım ve çevre, bedensel gelişim, devimsel gelişim, cinsiyet, zeka- ve psikolojik faktörler -nefis, yeti/meleke, özdeşleşme, empati, vicdan/ahlaki bilinç, düşünce, yargı, inanç, irade, hoşgörü- ile sosyal faktörlerin -aile, akran ve arkadaş çevresi, kitle iletişim araçları, ekonomi, kültür, din, eğitim- lise öğrencilerinin ahlaki olgunluk düzeylerinin nitelik ve niceliklerini belirlemede etkili ve önemli faktörler oldukları sonucuna varılmıştır. Alan araştırması neticesinde ise, cinsiyet, lise türü, akademik başarı, yerleşim yeri, anne-baba tutumu, anne öğrenim düzeyi, anne mesleği, ailenin ekonomik düzeyi ve Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi dersinin lise öğrencilerinin ahlaki olgunluk düzeylerini etkileyen önemli faktörler oldukları sonucuna varılmıştır.
The first aim of this study is theoretically to examine the factors that affect the moral maturity levels of high school students and then to state the type of relationship between these factors and moral maturity. In addition, this study also aims at determining the moral maturity levels of high school students in terms of a descriptive view and to examine throug a field study whether there is an important relationship between some individual variables thought as affecting these levels and their moral maturity levels. Field study was carried out on the 830 high school sudents selected rondomly from some high schools took place in Samsun. Data of the study were collected by Moral Maturity Scale and Individual Acknowledgement Questionnaire developed by the researcher. Statistical analyses of data were done with variance analysis, t-test, Scheffe and LSD tests.At the end of the theoretical examination, it was concluded that biological factors such as -heredity and environment, physical development, kinetic development, gender, intelligence- and psychological factors -soul, talent/skill, identification, empathy, conscience/moral conscious, thought, judgment, belief, will, tolerance- and the social factors such as -family, neighbors and friends, mass media, economics, culture, religion, education- were the efficient and prominent factors for determining the quality and the quantity of high school students? moral maturity levels. Lastly, it was found that gender, school type, academical success, location, behavior of the parents, educational levels of mothers, profession of mothers, financial level of the families, Religion Culture and Moral Knowledge courses were the prominent factors affecting the moral maturity levels of high school students.
