2-[(E)-2-(4-Methyl-Benzene-Sulfonamido)ethyl-Iminometh-yl]-4-Nitro-Phenolate

Abstract

The mol-ecule of the title compound, C<inf>16</inf>H<inf>17</inf>N <inf>3</inf>O<inf>5</inf>S, crystallizes in a zwitterionic form, with a strong intra-molecular N - H⋯O hydrogen bond. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 7.06 (9)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked into chains along the c axis by inter-molecular N - H⋯O hydrogen bonds. © Tüfekçi et al. 2009.
