Abstract

Data-driven approaches are increasingly becoming important in sustainable agriculture and livestock activities. Among the collected data, the location information of animals is of critical importance. Topics such as linking the tracking of herds spreading across the farmstead to the productivity of animal products require detailed tracking of animals' daily spreading and grazing/resting activities. In this study, the success of estimating polar coordinates using the RSSI-based Angle of Arrival technique in Wireless Sensor Networks in TSCH mode for a moving object at speeds <3 km/h has been measured. The average location, distance, and angle errors have been examined by changing the distances between designed quadrilateral anchor topology. In the obtained results, the system's average error was measured to be <9m when the distance between anchors was 20m.
