Praxiteles Eros'unun Parion Arkeolojik Bulgularındaki Yansımaları ve Parion'da Eros Kültü

Abstract

Troas bölgesinde yer alan Parion antik kentinin pek çok külte ev sahipliği yaptığını düşündüren çok sayıda arkeolojik veri mevcuttur. Bu çalışmada, Hesiodos'un Theogonia' da yaradılışı anlatırken Khaos'tan hemen sonra bahsettiği, birleşme ve üremeyi sağlayan, aşk ve sevgi tanrısı Eros'un Parion'un inanç sistemindeki yeri incelenmiştir. Parion Antik kenti kazılarında ele geçen ve üzerinde Eros betimi bulunan üç eser üzerinde durularak, bu eserlerin ortaya koyduğu sonuçlar ile Parion'daki Eros kültü genel anlamda değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda, çalışmada yer alan bronz amphora-situla, pişmiş toprak figürin ve bronz sikkenin kataloğu oluşturulup ve birbirleri arasındaki bağlantının ortaya konulmasıyla, stilistik açıdan da incelenerek bu çalışmanın temeli oluşturulmuştur. Antik kaynaklarda adı geçen ve kentin prestij eserlerinden biri olduğu söylenen Praxiteles'in Eros heykelinin, Parion antik kentinde ele geçen arkeolojik bulgular üzerindeki yansımaları tespit edilerek, bunun üzerinden Parion antik kentindeki Eros kültünün varlığı ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.

Parion, situated within the Troad Region, supplies us with a lot of archaeological data which point to the presence of a wide variety of cults within the city. In this poster, the role of Eros, the god of love who ensures union and reproduction named just after Chaos in the Theogony of Hesiod, will be evaluated within the belief system of Parion. Three of the artifacts found in the excavations of the ancient city of Parion and with the depiction of Eros were examined, and the results of these works and the Eros cult in Parion were evaluated in general terms. In this context, the study of the bronze amphora-situla, terracotta figurine and bronze coin in the study was formed and the connection between each other was examined and stylistically examined. The antiquity of Praxiteles, which is said to be one of the city's prestige works, was determined in the archaeological findings of the ancient city of Parion and the existence of the Eros cult in the ancient city of Parion was tried to be revealed.
