Abstract
Kan plazması K düzeyleri gebe kalan jerseylerde 3.53±0.03 mmol/l, gebe kalamayanlarda 3.77±0.05 mmol/l (P <0.01) Siyah-Alaca gebelerde 3.24±0.14 mmol/l, gebe kalmayanlarda 3.52±0.24 mmol/l (P>0.0.5) olarak gerçekleşmiştir.
In this study, in which 12 Holstein - breed cows 13 at Samsun Gelemen State farm and 13 Jersey - breed Cows at Karakoy state farm were used, it was aimed to determine the effects of blood plasma Zn, Ca, K, Mg and Cu levels on fertilisation and also to determine the changes of these mineral substance at artificial semination and at 21st day. With this aim, blood samples were taken from cows at 1st and 3rd estrus (from the cows, which couldn't be fertilised thought they were seminated twice). Samples were allocated into groups according to the pregnancy situations of cows from which they were taken and then the blood plasma mineral levels were determined and compared. Blood plasma Zn levels were 32.56±1.94, 26.52±0.94 umol/l. For pregnant Jersey cows and nonpregnant Jersey cows (P <0,01)and 31.82±1.77, 27.19±1.02 umol/l. For pregnant Holstein cows and nonpregnant Holstein cows (P <0,05),respectively. Blood plasma K levels were found as 3.53±0.03, 3.77±0.05 mmol/l. For pregnant Jersey cows and nonpregnant Jersey cows (P and 3.24±0.4 mmol/l, 3.52±0.24 mmol/l. (P for pregnant Holstein cows and nonpregnant Jersey cows (P>0.05), respectively. Blood plasma Ca, Mg, Cu, Ca/Zn levels were not different between pregnant and nonpregnant cows for both of the breeds. There were significant difference between pregnant and nonpregnant cows in terms of blood K/Zn levels for both of the breeds (P The differences in terms of Cu/Zn levels were found significant between pregnant and nonpregnant Holstein cows (P For both of the breeds, the mineral levels at semination and 21st day were not different (P>0.05).Key Words: Jersey, Holstein, mineral substance, pregnancy, sterility
