Reggio Emilia İlhamlı Okullar: Eğitim Sürecinin Öğretmen, Ebeveyn ve Yönetici Görüşleri Doğrultusunda İncelenmesi

Abstract

In recent years, interest in alternative approaches have started to increase in many educational levels. The education process, in which the teacher is at the center, has been left behind thanks to these approaches and a child-oriented process has begun. One of these approaches is Reggio Emilia. Inspired by this approach, schools offer concrete experiences to children and make them explore. It is important to disseminate the approach that aims to raise curious, researching, questioning and observing children, and that teachers, institution owners and parents have information about it. In this context, the aim of the study is to reveal the experiences of teachers, administrators and parents in the Reggio Emilia inspired schools. The study group of the research consists of 20 preschool teachers, 20 parents and 5 administrators in Reggio Emilia inspired schools. While determining the study group, criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used. In this research, the basic qualitative research design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was preferred, and the collected data were analyzed with the content analysis method The teachers participating in the research expressed their views on the definition of the approach, their roles in the process, educational environments, in-house meetings, changes on the child, the project process, the documentation process and the problems experienced. Participating parents expressed their views on the definition of the approach, the roles in the process, the changes on the child and the problems experienced. Participating administrators also expressed their views on the definition of the approach, roles in the process, communication with teachers, communication with parents, in-house meetings, informing parents, teachers' professional development and problems experienced. By comparing the opinions of teachers, parents and administrators, a discussion and conclusion part was formed on the basis of these opinions.

Son yıllarda birçok eğitim kademesinde alternatif yaklaşımlara olan ilgi artmaya başlamıştır. Öğretmenin merkezde yer aldığı eğitim süreci, bu yaklaşımlar sayesinde geride kalmış ve çocuk odaklı bir süreç başlamıştır. Bu yaklaşımlardan biri de Reggio Emilia'dır. Meraklı, araştırmacı, sorgulayan ve gözlemleyen çocuklar yetiştirmeyi amaç edinen yaklaşımın yaygınlaştırılması, öğretmenlerin, kurum sahiplerinin ve ebeveynlerin bununla ilgili bilgi sahibi olması önem taşımaktadır. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın amacı Reggio Emilia ilhamlı okullarda bulunan öğretmenlerin, yöneticilerin ve ebeveynlerin süreç içerisindeki deneyimlerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Reggio Emilia ilhamlı okullarda bulunan 20 okul öncesi öğretmeni, 20 ebeveyn ve 5 yönetici oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubu belirlenirken amaçlı örneklem yöntemleerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan temel nitel araştırma deseni tercih edilmiş, toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenler yaklaşımın tanımı, süreç içerisindeki rolleri, eğitim ortamları, kurum içi toplantılar, çocuk üzerindeki değişimler, proje süreci, dokümantasyon süreci ve yaşanan sorunlar ile ilgili görüşlerini dile getirmişlerdir. Katılımcı ebeveynler yaklaşımın tanımı, süreç içerisindeki roller, çocuk üzerindeki değişimler ve yaşanan sorunlar ile ilgili görüşlerini belirtirken, katılımcı yöneticiler de yaklaşımın tanımı, süreç içerisindeki roller, öğretmenler ile iletişim, ebeveynler ile iletişim, kurum içi toplantılar, ebeveynlerin bilgilendirilmesi, öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimleri ve yaşanan sorunlar ile ilgili görüşlerini dile getirmişlerdir. Öğretmenlerin, ebeveynlerin ve yöneticilerin görüşleri karşılaştırılarak, bu görüşler temelinde tartışma ve sonuç kısmı oluşturulmuştur..
