Duyum Modalitelerine Etkisinde Yeni Sanatsal Yönelimler

Abstract

Sanatın geçmişten günümüze değişim içerisinde olduğu bilinmektedir. Geleneksel kültür çerçevesinde sanat adı altında verilmek istenen mesajlar görsel algıyı aktif şekilde uyaracak etkilerle sürdürülürken bu mesajlar çoğunlukla toplumları var eden ve derinden beslendiği din, dil, ırk gibi sabiteler üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu nedenle sanat, insanların interoseptif duyularını uyarabilecek yeterliliğe sahip ve insanların yaşamı algılayış biçimleri daha köklü olduğu görülmektedir. Modern kültürde insanın aklı temel alınmış ve geleceği şekillendirme noktasında insan aklı her türlü zorluğa ve problemlere karşı göğüs gerebilecek konumda görülmüştür. Modernizmde gerçekleşen buluşlar ve teknolojik gelişmeler ışığında bireylerde kültürel, algısal değişimler, toplumların parçalanması gözlemlenmiş, sanat da bu değişimlerden kendi payını almıştır. Postmodern kültürle birlikte modernizmin savunduğu teknoloji, bilim ve akıl üçgeni altında insanlığın refah ve mutluluk içinde yaşayacağı zihniyeti parçalanmıştır. Geçmişte yaşanan savaşlar, soykırımlar, ideoloji temelli yapılanmalar toplumlar üzerinde korkuya neden olmuştur. İnsanlık için yeni dünya düzeni, özünde insanları kuklaya çevirmeyi amaçlayan ideolojilerle ve çıkar odaklı girişimlerle devam ettirilmiştir. Yaşanan değişimlerle birlikte insanların içi boşaltılmış gibidir. Bu içi boşaltılmışlık insanların hayatı algılama biçimlerini değiştirmekte ve günümüz insanı, geçmiş toplumlardaki insanların sahip olduğu inanç, duygu, beklentiler, isteklerle hareket etmemektedir. Artık insanlar onları harekete geçirebilecek dışarıdan kaynaklanan (eksteroseptif) uyaranlara muhtaç hale gelmiştir. Yeni medya teknolojilerinin gelişmesi özellikle sanatı da içerisine alarak sanatçılar için insanları etkileyebilecek yeni anlatım biçimleri oluşturmasına olanak sağlamıştır. Geçmişteki sanatçıların vermek istediği mesaj tek taraflı duyuyu (görsel) uyarırken, çağımızda yakalanan etkiler çok yönlü bir şekle bürünmekte ve sanatta dijitalleşmeler görülmektedir. Dijital dönem içerisinde birden fazla duyum modalitesini aynı anda uyarabilen ve etkisi altına alabilecek çeşitli dijital çalışmalar; dijital performans, dijital enstalasyon, dijital heykel, hibrit sanat gibi çeşitleri gözlemlemek mümkündür. Post dijital çağda gerçekleştirilen sanatsal çalışmalar ışığında multidispliner yaklaşımlar sergilenerek görme, işitme, dokunma (taktil), koklama, tatma duyularının ötesinde etkilere ulaşabilmektedir. Bu bağlamda yapılan çalışma içerisinde çeşitli post dijital projeler incelenmiş olup, kültürel ve algılasal değişimlerle ilişkilendirilerek incelenmektedir.

It is known that art has been in a state of change from past to present. While the messages intended to be conveyed under the name of art within the framework of traditional culture were sustained with effects that actively stimulate visual perception, these messages were mostly realized through constants such as religion, language, and race, which form and deeply nourish societies. Therefore, art has the capability to stimulate people's interoceptive senses, and it appears that people's ways of perceiving life are more rooted. In modern culture, human intellect was taken as the basis, and in terms of shaping the future, human intellect was seen as capable of facing any challenge and problem. With the inventions and technological developments that occurred during modernism, cultural and perceptual changes were observed in individuals, the fragmentation of societies was noted, and art also took its share from these changes. With postmodern culture, the mindset that humanity would live in prosperity and happiness under the triangle of technology, science, and intellect advocated by modernism was shattered. The wars, genocides, and ideology-based structures of the past have caused fear in societies. The new world order for humanity has been maintained with ideologies and interest-based initiatives that essentially aim to turn people into puppets. Along with the changes experienced, it is as if people have been hollowed out. This hollowness is changing the way people perceive life, and contemporary people do not act with the beliefs, emotions, expectations, and desires that people in past societies had. Now, people have become dependent on external (exteroceptive) stimuli that can move them. The development of new media technologies, especially including art, has provided artists with the opportunity to create new forms of expression that can influence people. While the messages that artists in the past wanted to convey stimulated a single sense (visual), the effects captured in our age have taken on a multi-dimensional form, and digitalization in art is being observed. Within the digital era, it is possible to observe various digital works that can simultaneously stimulate and influence multiple sensory modalities, such as digital performance, digital installation, digital sculpture, and hybrid art. In the light of artistic works realized in the post-digital age, by displaying multidisciplinary approaches, it is possible to reach effects beyond the senses of seeing, hearing, touching (tactile), smelling, and tasting. In this context, various post-digital projects have been examined in this study, and they are being analyzed in relation to cultural and perceptual changes.
