The Camel As A Part Of Social Life In The Period Of The Prophet

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Hz. Peygamber Dönemi toplumsal hayatında önemli bir yer tutan deve konu edilmiştir. Hz. Peygamber Dönemi genel tarihi anlatımda deve sadece isim olarak zikredilmiş muhtevasına girilmemiştir. Çalışmamızdaki amaç, Hz. Peygamber Döneminin önemli bir figürünü ortaya çıkarmaktır. Böylelikle Hz. Peygamber'in yaşadığı toplumu daha iyi anlaşılmaya katkı sunmaktır. Çalışmamız giriş ve onu takip eden üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde araştırmamızın konusu, problemi, amacı, önemi, kapsam, yöntemi ve kaynakları hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde, deve kavramını dil açısından ele alarak kavram analizi yapılmıştır. Burada Arapların deveye çok fazla önem vermelerinin sonucu olarak ortaya çıkan devenin isimlerinin fazlalığı anlatılarak, deveye verilen bu isimlerden bir kısmı bu bölümde sunulmuştur. İkinci bölümde, Arapların Cahiliye Dönemi toplumsal hayatlarına devenin konu oluşu irdelenmiştir. Arapların dini hayatlarında deveye olan inanışları anlatılarak dini alanda deve kullanışları sunulmuştur. Aynı şekilde bu dönemde Arapların develer için uyguladıkları bazı adetlere ve develer için söylenen şiirlerden bazılarına yer verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, öncelikli olarak Kur'ân-ı Kerim'de deveyle ilgili ayetler incelenmiş ve Hz. Peygamber'in deveyi kullandığı hadislerle birlikte sunulmuştur. Daha sonra asıl anlatımını yapmak istediğimiz konu olan Hz. Peygamber'in toplumsal, siyasi, ekonomik ve dini hayatında deve kullanımları ele alınmıştır. Çalışmamızın neticesinde Araplar için devenin ne kadar büyük bir öneme sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Hz. Peygamber'in hayatının birçok önemli hâdisesine devenin konu olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Hz. Peygamber Dönemini anlayabilmek için deve vazgeçilmez bir hayvan olduğu görülmüştür.

In this study, the subject of camel which had an important place in social life during the period of the Prophet, was examined. The camel was mentioned only as a name during the narration of general historical events and the content of the camel was mentioned. Our aim in this study is to reveal an important figure of the Prophet period. Thus, this contributes to a better understanding of the society in which the Prophet lived. Our study consists of an introduction and the following three chapters. In the introduction part, In the introduction part, the subject, problem, aim, importance, scope, method and sources of our research are given. In the first chapter, the concept of camel is analyzed in terms of language. Here, as a result of the Arabs give much importance to the camel, the excess of the names of the camel is explained and some of the names given to the camel are presented in this section. In addition, in this section, the subject of the camel to the social life of the Arabs in the period of Jahiliyya is examined. The Arabs' beliefs about camel in their religious life are explained and their use in the religious field is presented. Likewise, during this period, some customs the Arabs applied for camels and some of the poems sung for camels are included. In the third chapter, firstly the verses about the camel in the Quran are examined and it is presented along with the hadiths that the Prophet uses the camel in. Then, the use of camels in the social, political, economic and religious life of the Prophet which is the actual subject that we want to examine was discussed. As a result of our study, it is determined how important the camel is for Arabs. It was understood that the camel was the subject of many important events of the life of Prophet. In order to understand the period of the Prophet, it was seen that the camel was an indispensable animal.
