Abstract

The structure of the title compound, C<inf>10</inf>H<inf>8</inf>Br <inf>4</inf>O<inf>2</inf>, has been determined at room temperature. The ten-membered tetra-hydronaphthalene ring system is nearly planar, with a total puckering amplitude Q<inf>T</inf> of 0.386 (5) Å. The crystal structure is stabilized by short inter- and intramolecular hydrogen-bond contacts. © 2004 International Union of Crystallography All rights reserved.
