1-[2-(5-Nitro-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl)ethyl]morpholinium Chloride

Abstract

The title compound, C<inf>13</inf>H<inf>17</inf>N<inf>4</inf>O +·Cl-, was synthesized from 1-(2-methoxyethyl)-5-nitrobenzimidazole and N-(2-chloroethyl)morpholine hydrochloride in dimethylformamide. The crystal structure has been determined at 100 K and exhibits an intramolecular N-H⋯Cl, and intermolecular C-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯O interactions. © 2005 International Union of Crystallography Printed in Great Britain - all rights reserved.
