Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Acil Servisine Başvuran İntoksikasyon Hastalarının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi Çocuk Acil Servisi'ne Ocak 1995-Aralık 1997 tarihleri arasında intoksikasyon nedeniyle başvuran hastalar retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Toplam 235 hastanın 90 (%38.2)'ı kız, 145 (%61.8)'i erkekti. Hastaların yaş ortalamaları 72.73.1 ay idi. 75 (%31.9) olguda ilaçlar, 62 (%26.4) olguda organik fosfor, 48 (%20.4) olguda mantar, 26 (%11.1) olguda besin intoksikasyonu ve 24 (%10.2) olguda ise diğer toksik maddeler intoksikasyon nedeni olarak saptandı. Yatan hastaların üçü (%1.2) eksitus oldu. Araştırmamızda ilaca bağlı zehirlenmelerin tüm intoksikasyonlar içerisinde önemli bir yer tuttuğu ve en fazla ölümlerin ise mantar ve organik fosfor intoksikasyonuna bağlı olduğu saptandı.Patients who were admitted to the Pediatric Emergency Unit of Ondokuz Mayıs University Medical Faculty with intoxication between January 1995 and December 1997 were evaluated retrospectively. 90 of 235 patients were female (38.2%) and 145 were male (61.8%). The average age of patients 72.7±3.1 months. Drugs (31.9%), organic pesticide (26.4%), mushrooms (20.4%), food poisoning (11.1%) and others (10.2%) were found in major etiologic cause of intoxication. Three (1.2%) of hospitalized causes were exituced. In this study, it was found that medicine was one of the major etiologic cause of intoxication and mushroom and organic pesticides were responsible from deaths.
