Samsun Yenilikçilik Ekosistemi Network Analizi

Abstract

Bu tezin konusu Samsun inovasyon ekosistem ağının özelliklerini sosyal ağ analizi yoluyla açıklamaktır. Çalışma, Samsun bölgesinin ekosistemin gelişiminin İnovasyon göstergelerinde nasıl bir yol izlediğini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Birincilinovasyon veri setini geliştirmek, birincil ve ikincil verileri toplamak, akademik ve özel sektörün inovasyon konusundaki performanslarını analiz etmek, Samsun İnovasyon Ekosistemi Ağ Haritası taslağını ve ağ haritalama ile temsilini oluşturmak asıl amaçtır. Araştırmanın ana sorusu şudur; Samsun inovasyon ekosistem ağının özellikleri nelerdir ve/veya Samsun inovasyon ekosistemi ağı nasıl açıklanır? Bu araştırma, yenilikçilik ekosistemi ağ analizi alanında, Türkiye'de il düzeyinde teori ve pratik perspektiflerini birleştiren ilk, fakat son olmayacak, akademik çalışmadır. OKA da dahil olmak üzere kalkınma ajanslarının Türkiye'de daha önce hazırladığı çalışmalar ve Freeman C. &and Luc S., Curley M.G., Moore C.F., Gomes L.A., Dedehayir O. ve, Burt R.S. ve Barabasi A.L. gibi araştırmacıların İnovasyon Ağı ve Ekosistem Analizi kavramına yönelik teorik arkaplan incelenmiştir. Metodoloji olarak coğrafi kapsama alanı Samsun, referans grup 66 bölgesel aktör arasından zamanın kısıtlı olması ve küresel pandemi nedeniyle 20 olarak belirlenmiş ve online anket uygulanmıştır, veri toplama yöntemi olarak .zamanın kısıtlı olması ve küresel pandemi nedeniyle kartopu tekniği seçilmiştir. Bu araştırma, Samsun ilinin coğrafi kapsam alanı olması, ağ analizinde sadece Gephi aracı kullanılması ve özel sektör firmaları örneklem grubundan çıkarılması gibi sınırlamalar altında hazırlanmıştır. Bu çalışma, Samsun'un özel sektörde önemli bir inovasyon performansı olmasa da araştırmacıların ve arayüz kurumlarının beşeri sermayesinde büyük bir altyapıya sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Sonuç odaklı performans için şehir ölçeğinde daha güçlü bir üniversite-sanayi işbirliği modeline ihtiyaç vardır, bu nedenle bu işbirliği hem üniversiteleri destekleyecek hem de orta ve uzun vadede ilin bütünsel gelişimine katkı sağlayacaktır.

This thesis is about to explain the features of Samsun innovation ecosystem network through social network analysis. The study aims to describe the Samsun innovation ecosystem. Exact methodology is to collect the primary and secondary data, and to analyse the performances of the academic and private sector on innovation, to draft Samsun Innovation Ecosystem Network Map and its representation with network mapping. The main question is what are the features of Samsun innovation ecosystem network and/or how is the Samsun innovation ecosystem network explained? This research is the first, but not last, academic study which combines theoretical and practical perspectives on innovation ecosystem network analysis in provincial level in Turkey. Having reviewed the previous studies prepared by development agencies, including OKA in Samsun and theoretical background from the researchers such as Freeman C. and Luc S., Curley M.G., Moore C.F., Gomes L.A., Dedehayir O., and Burt R.S. for the concept of Innovation Network and Ecosystem Analysis. As a methodology, specified geographical coverage as Samsun, population of reference as 20 among 66 regional actors because of the limited time and global pandemic. This research was prepared under the limitations of geographical coverage of Samsun, tool of Gephi for network analysis and exclusion of private sector companies from the sample group. The findings of this study are that Samsun has a great infrastructure in human capital of researchers and interface institutions although not having great performances in private sector. For the result-oriented performance, there is a need for a stronger university-industry cooperation model on a city scale so, this cooperation will both support the university and contribute to the holistic development of the province in the medium and long term.
