Metaverse'de Sanal Topluluk Deneyimleri: 18-26 Yaş Gençlik Örneği

Abstract

Sanal evren diğer adıyla metaverse, gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte önemli dijitalleşme alanlarından birisi konumundadır. Gerçekleşen teknolojik değişim ve ilerlemelerle birlikte Dünyada ve Türkiye'de hızla büyüyen sanal evren kullanıcıları tarafından metaverseün sanal toplulukları yeni bir toplum örneği olarak önem taşımaktadır. Bu sanal toplulukların, gündelik toplumsal yaşamda varolan sosyokültürel ve sosyoekonomik ilişkilerle olan benzerliklerinin gözlemlenebilmesi anlamlı bir çalışma alanı olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada sanal evrenin sanal topluluklarının gündelik toplumsal yaşam deneyimleriyle nasıl benzerlikler taşıdığını anlamaya yönelik sosyolojik bir araştırma yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın amacı, sanal evrende gerçekleşen topluluk deneyimlerinin nasıl yeniden üretildiğini anlaşılır kılmaktır. Bu amaca uygun olarak nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak, katılımcılara amaçlı örneklem tekniği ile ulaşılıp örneklemin büyütülmesinde ise kartopu tekniği kullanılmıştır. Metaverse kullanıcısı olan katılımcılar ile derinlemesine görüşmeler yürütülerek, elde edilen veriler ilgili litaratüre ve belirlenen temalara uygun olarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre metaverse içerisinde gerçekleştirilen ilişkilerin gündelik toplumsal yaşam ilişkileriyle kesişimsellik barındırdığı anlaşılmıştır. The virtual universe, also known as the Metaverse, is one of the important digitalization regions with the virtual universe. With the technological changes and advances taking place, the virtual communities of the metaverse are important as an example of a new society by the rapidly growing virtual universe users in the world and Turkey. Hosting provisions of these virtual communities as a workspace for the observation of users' impressions of sociocultural and socioeconomic explanations that exist in social life. In this study, a sociological research was conducted to understand how the virtual communities of the virtual universe have similarities with the daily social life experiences. The aim of the research is to make it understandable how community experiences that take place in the virtual universe are reproduced. In accordance with this purpose, using the qualitative research method, the participants were reached with the purposeful sampling technique and the snowball technique was used to enlarge the sample. In-depth interviews were conducted with the participants who are metaverse users, and the data obtained were analyzed in accordance with the relevant literature and determined themes. According to the findings, it has been understood that the relations realized in the metaverse have intersections with daily social life relations. The change that emerged with the metaverse was evaluated in a holistic manner, and the results of this situation were comprehensively discussed in the study.
