Malignant Mixed Mullerian Tumor of the Ovary: Two Cases Report

Abstract

Malignant mixed mullerian tumor (carcinosarcoma) of the ovary is a rare, highly aggressive neoplasm that is characterized by the presence of both carcinomatous and sarcomatous components. It accounts for less than 1% of all ovarian tumors and tend to occur in low parity postmenopausal women. In this report, histopathological and immunohistochemically findings of two cases of malignant mixed mullerian tumor that is presented because of its rarity and discussed in the light of literature.
