Müzik Üretiminde Müzik Enstrümanları Dijital Arayüzü (Mıdı) Kullanımının Stüdyo Kayıtlarındaki Kazanım ve Kayıpları

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, 'MIDI tabanlı müzik yazılımlarının stüdyolarda kullanımının olumlu ve olumsuz yönleri nelerdir?' problem cümlesinden hareket edilmiştir. Araştırmada Betimsel Tarama Yöntemi ve mülakat teknikleri kullanılarak; konu ile ilgili Alan Uzmanı kişilerin görüşlerine yer verilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler ışığında bir çok sonuca ulaşılmasının yanı sıra en önemlileri; MIDI Teknolojisinin müzik dünyası ve stüdyo kayıt süreçlerinde kullanımı ile proje maliyetlerinin düşürülmesi, daha hızlı ve ekonomik üretim çözümleri sağlaması, edit imkanları ile hata paylarının düşürülmesi, nota yazımı ile uğraşanlara kompozisyonlarını duyarak ilerleme imkanı sunması gibi olumlu gelişmelere karşın, diğer taraftan MIDI teknolojisinde müzikal duygunun ve canlı icralardaki insan faktörünün kayıtlara yeterince yansıtılamaması, kalite beklentisindeki dinleyiciler tarafından tercih edilmemesi ve canlı enstruman icrasının yaygınlaşmasına zarar vermesi gibi olumsuz yönler olarak ortaya konulmuştur. Araştırmanın amacı, dijital ortamda müzik prodüksiyonu gerçekleştirirken MIDI teknolojilerinin kullanımına ilişkin sistemin avantaj ve dezavantajlarını uygulayıcı görüşleri ışığında belirlemek ve böylece MIDI kullanımının kazanç ve kayıp dengesini ortaya koymaktır. Bu araştırma dijital ortamda müzikal üretim yapan prodüktörlere hangi tür projelerde MIDI kullanıp, hangi noktalardan itibaren canlı çalımlara ağırlık vermeye karar vermelerine yardımcı olacak öneriler içermektedir.

This research, was based on the follwing problem sentence; 'What are the positive and negative aspects of using MIDI-based music software in studios?' By using Descriptive Survey Method and interview techniques in the research; The opinions of Field Experts on the subject are included. In addition to many conclusions in the light of the data obtained in the research, the most important ones are; the positive developments are seen such as reducing project costs with the use of MIDI Technology in the music world and studio recording processes, providing faster and more economical production solutions, reducing the margin of error with editing opportunities and providing the opportunity for those who write notes to progress by hearing their compositions. On the other hand, MIDI technology is not able to reflect musical emotion and the human factor in live performances based recordings adequately. Also not being preferred by listeners who expect quality and harms the spread of live instrument performance have been put forward as negative aspects. The research aims to determine the advantages and disadvantages of the system regarding the use of MIDI technologies while performing musical production in the digital environment, in the light of practitioner opinions, and thus to reveal the balance of gains and losses of MIDI use. This research includes suggestions that will help producers making musical productions in the digital environment to decide in which types of projects they will use MIDI and at what point they will focus on live playing.
