Abstract

In the title compound, C18H14N2O2, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 88.6 (1)degrees. The allyl group is disordered over two orientations, with refined occupancies of 0.695 (6) and 0.305 (6). The methoxy group is coplanar with the attached benzene ring. C-H center dot center dot center dot N intermolecular hydrogen bonds link the molecules into a C(6) chain along the a axis. The chain structure is further strengthened by C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions.
