Abstract
Ill öz Sinop Tavukçuluk Üretme İstasyonunda Mart- 1992 ve Mart- 1993 tarihleri arasında yürütülen bu araştırmada, materyal olarak Gerze ve Denizli tavuk ırkları kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, hayvanların yaşama gücü (civciv, piliç ve yumurtalama dönemlerine ait), cinsi olgunluk yaşı ve agırlığL 52. hafta sonuna kadar yumurta verimi, yumurta ağırlığı, 52,hafta sonu cardı ağırlıkları, yem tüketimleri (2-22. ve 23-52. haftalar için), kuluçka değerleri (döllülük, çıkış gücü ve kuluçka randımanı), yumurtalarda dış ve iç kalite özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Dış kalite özellikleri olarak şekil indeksi, özgül ağırlık, kırılma mukavemeti ve kabuk kalınlığı, iç kalite özellikleri olarak da san ve ak indeksleri, san rengi ve Haugh birimi üzerinde durulmuştur. Denizli ırkı 52.hafta sonunda 3oımurta verimi, şekil indeksi ve yumurta şansının rengi; Gerze ırkı ise yumurta ağırlığı ve canlı ağırlık, 23-52. haftalar arası yeni tüketimi, kuluçka değerleri, ak indeksi ve Haugh birimi bakımından daha iyi sonuçlar vermiştir.
IV ABSTRACT PRODUCTION AND QUALITY CHARACTERISTICS OF DOMESTIC GERZE AND DENİZLİ BREEDS In this study carried out between March 1992 - March 1993 have at the poultry prouction station in Sinop Turkey domestic Gen© and Denizli breeds were used. The criteria evaluated were livability (for 0-8, 9-22 and 23-52. weeks), sexual maturity age and weight, egg pruduction, egg weight, live weight, feed comsumption (for 2-22 and 23-52nd weeks), hatchability (fertility, hatchability of fertile eggs and hatchability of eggs set), external and internal quality of the eggs. The shape index, specific gravity, breakage strength and shell thickness were studied for external quality, where as yolk and white indices, yolk colour and Haugh unit were considered for the internal quality. The Denizli breed was in better condition with regard to the egg production, the shape index and yolk colour than the Gerze, while Gerze breed was better in terms of to food comsumption egg weight, live weight hatchability, white index and Haugh unit.
