Türkiye Türkçesindeki Duyu Fiillerinin Eşdizimliliği

Abstract

Studies on collocations of verbs in Turkish are extremely limited and insufficient to embrace Turkish though this is a verbal language. However, it is also observed that no study has been carried out on the collocations of sense verbs which is a type of mental verbs in Turkish. In this thesis, an attempt was made to determine the collocations of 63 (sixty three) sense verbs that were detected in both statistical and meaning centered approach (in Turkish). For this purpose, the Turkish National Corpus (TUD), which is a collection of 50 million words that includes many different subject areas and text types from modern Turkish, was used. The following steps were followed to determine collocations in this study. In the first stage, in order to determine the collocations of the sense verbs in the database of the thesis, TUD was scanned with standard search and morpheme search in the range of sensory verbs (+ -3), log-likelihood and observed collocation value in searches were taken into consideration. In the second step, the words showing the meaning features in Cowie (1994) were extracted from the TUD and processed in the table raw. In the third stage, the words were taken from the raw table and analyzed and classified as free collocations, restricted collocations , figurative collocations and pure idioms according to their meaning features. In this research, the collocation tendency of sensory verbs according to their groups and on the basis of individual words was determined. In this study, it was determined that sense verbs frequently exhibit collocations and these collocations are an important richness for language. Collocation presentation in TDK Güncel Türkçe Sözlük was examined over the collocation of the sense verbs determined in the study, it has been observed that collocation presentations in Güncel Türkçe Sözlük are intuitive and irregular, and there is no collocation sensitivity. This study, which aims to determine the collocations of sensory verbs, has a lexical feature as it is based on compilation, linguistic in terms of semantic description of word associations, and educational in terms of being a source for Turkish teaching materials.

Türkçede fiillerin eşdizimlileri üzerine yapılan araştırmalar son derece sınırlı sayıda ve fiil dili olan Türkçeyi kucaklamakta yetersizdir. Bu bağlamda Türkiye Türkçesinde mental fiil türlerinden biri olan duyu fiillerinin eşdizimlileri üzerine de bir çalışma yapılmadığı görülmektedir. Bu tezde hem istatiksel hem de anlam merkezli anlayışla Türkiye Türkçesinde tespit edilen 63 (altmış üç) duyu fiilinin eşdizimlileri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla günümüz Türkçesinden çok sayıda değişik konu alanı ve metin türünün yer aldığı 50 milyonluk sözcüğe sahip bir derlem olan Türkçe Ulusal Derlemi (TUD) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada eşdizimlileri belirlemek için şu aşamalar takip edilmiştir. İlk aşamada tezin veri tabanı olan TUD'da duyu fiillerinin eşdizimlilerini belirlemek için ilgili duyu fiilleri (+-3) aralığında standart arama ve biçimbirim aramayla taratılmış, aramalarda log-likelihood ve gözlenen eşdizimlilik değeri göz önünde bulundurulmuştur. İkinci aşamada aramalarda Cowie (1994)'teki anlam özelliklerini gösteren sözcükler TUD'dan çekilerek ham olarak tabloya işlenmiştir. Üçüncü aşamada ise sözcükler ham tablodan alınarak anlam özelliklerine göre açık eşdizimliler, sınırlı eşdizimliler, deyimsel eşdizimliler ve deyimler biçiminde incelenip sınıflandırılmıştır. Araştırmada duyu fiillerinin gruplarına göre ve tek tek sözcük bazında göstermiş olduğu eşdizimlilik eğilimi tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada duyu fiillerinin sıklıkla eşdizimlilik sergilediği, bu eşdizimlilerin dil için önemli bir zenginlik olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada tespit edilen duyu fiillerinin eşdizimlileri üzerinden TDK Güncel Türkçe Sözlük'te eşdizimli sunumu incelenmiş, Güncel Türkçe Sözlük'te eşdizimli sunumlarının sezgisel ve düzensiz olduğu ve eşdizimlilik duyarlılığı olmadığı görülmüştür. Duyu fiillerinin eşdizimlilerini belirlemeye yönelik bu çalışma derleme dayalı olması yönüyle sözlüksel, sözcük birlikteliklerini anlamsal olarak betimlemesi yönüyle dilbilimsel, Türkçe öğretimi materyallerine kaynak teşkil etmesi yönüyle de eğitsel bir özellik göstermektedir.
