Acil ve Yoğun Bakım Servislerinde Çalışan Hemşirelerin Temel Yaşam Desteği ve İleri Kardiyak Yaşam Desteğine İlişkin Bilgi Düzeylerinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma acil ve yoğun bakım servislerinde çalışmakta olan hemşirelerin Temel Yaşam Desteği ve İleri Kardiyak Yaşam Desteğine ilişkin bilgi düzeylerinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı bir çalışma olarak yürütülmüştür. Materyal ve Metot: Araştırma 01.05.2019-01.08.2019 tarihleri arasında bir ilde bulunan iki hastanenin acil ve yoğun bakım servislerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini ilgili iki hastanenin acil ve yoğun bakım servislerinde çalışmakta olan 165 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından literatür doğrultusunda hazırlanan hemşire tanıtıcı bilgi formu, Temel Yaşam Desteği bilgi soruları, İleri Kardiyak Yaşam Desteği bilgi sorularından oluşan anket formları kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler Mann Whitney U testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelerin %68,6'sı 18-28 yaş arasında, 62,7'sinin lisans mezunudur. Hemşirelerin tamamı daha önce Temel ve İleri Yaşam Desteği uygulamış, %96,3'ü daha önce Temel ve İleri Yaşam Desteği konusunda daha önce eğitim almıştır. Hemşirelerin aldıkları puan ortalamalarının çalıştıkları hastaneye, daha önce Temel ve İleri Yaşam Kardiyak Desteği konusunda eğitim alma durumuna, yaşlarına, eğitim durumlarına ve çalıştıkları birime göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşmadığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Hemşirelerin Temel Yaşam Desteği ve İleri Yaşam Desteği konusunda bilgi düzeylerinin yeterli olmadığı gerek lisans eğitiminde gerekse çalışma hayatlarında daha fazla eğitime ihtiyaçları olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Aims: This study has been conducted as a descriptive study to determine the emergency service and intensive care nurses' knowledge about basic life support and advanced cardiac life support. Material and method: This study has been conducted in two different hospitals' emergency services and intensive care units which are located in a province between the dates 01.05.2019 and 01.08.2019. The population of the study consists of a total of 165 nurses who were working in the emergency services and intensive care units of these hospitals. Data were collected by using the introductory information form prepared by the researcher in accordance with the literature, the questionnaire forms which are consist of basic life support information and advance life support information questions and the nurse introductory forms. The collected data analyzed by using Mann Whitney u tests. Results: 68,6% of the nurses who participated in the study are 18-28 years old, 62,7 % of them are undergraduates. All of the nurses have applied the basic life support and advanced life support before, 96,3% of them had education about basic life support and advanced life support before. Points of the participant nurses shows statistically and meaningfully no differences according to participants ages, their working department, prior information about basic life support and advance life support or educational status. Conclusion: The nurses basic life support and advance life support knowledge was found insufficient and the advance education should be given to nurses in their academic and working life.
