Arap Edebiyatında Bir Şair ve Edip Olarak Ahmet Şevki

Abstract

Mısırlı Arap edebiyatçı ve şair Ahmet Şevki, modern Arap edebiyatının kurucularındandır. Edebiyatın birçok alanında eser kaleme almış, tiyatro ve çocuk edebiyatını Arap edebiyatına kazandırmıştır. Şiirdeki başarısından dolayı Emîrü'ş-Şu'arâ ünvanını elde etmiştir. Neo-klasik bir edebiyatçı olan Şevki, edebî ekollerin ortaya çıktığı bu dönemde Diriliş, ardından Apollo ekolünün temsilcilerinden olmuştur. Ahmet Şevki, sarayda yaşadığı dönemde bir saray şairi, sürgün döneminde vatan ve özlem duygularını ele alan bir şair, sürgün sonrasında ise milliyetçilik duygularını ve halkın sorunlarını ön plana çıkaran bir şairdir. Şevki, halkın sorunlarını çözmede kurtarıcı olarak gördüğü Osmanlı halifelerine ve Türklere de birçok kez şiir yazmış bir şairdir. Ahmet Şevki'nin edebiyatın hemen hemen her alanında, farklı birçok muhtevada kaleme aldığı eserleri incelemek, araştırmaya değer hususlardır. Biz bu alanda var olan boşluğu doldurarak kapsamlı bir çalışma yapmak üzere tezimizin başlığını Arap Edebiyatında Bir Şair ve Edip Olarak Ahmet Şevki ismini verdik ve onun edebiyat alanına sunduğu katkıyı ortaya koymaya çalıştık. Bu amaçlada şiirlerinin çoğunluğunun yer aldığı Şevkiyyât isimli kitabı başta olmak üzere tiyatro ve hikâye alanında kaleme aldığı tüm eserleri inceledik, üslûp ve muhteva açısından dikkat çekici olan bölümleri, Türkçeye tercüme ederek değerlendirmede bulunduk. Tezimiz dört bölümden oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde problem tanımı, tezin amacı, kapsamı, literatür çalışması ele alınmış; ikinci bölümde Şevki'ye kadar Mısır'ın tarihi sürecinin genel bir değerlendirilmesi üzerinde durulmuş, Ahmet Şevki'nin yaşadığı dönemde Mısır'ın sosyokültürel ve siyasî yapısına ve Mısır Arap edebiyatına değinilmiş; üçüncü bölümde Ahmet Şevki'nin hayatı-eserleri, şiirlerinin tasnifi ile tiyatro, hikâye ve çocuk edebiyatına dair eserleri, Türkçe çevirileri ele alınmış, incelenmiş, dördüncü bölümde ise şiirlerin şekil ve üslûp açısından değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Egyptian Arab writer and poet Ahmed Shawki is one of the founders of modern Arabic literature. He wrote works in many fields of literature and brought theater and children's literature to Arabic literature. Due to his success in poetry, he earned the title of emîrü'ş-şu'arâ. Şevki, a neo-classical man of letters, became one of the representatives of the Diriliş and then Apollo schools during the period when literary schools emerged. Ahmet Şevki was a court poet at the time when he lived in the palace: he dealt with the feelings of longing for the homeland during the exile, and he emphasized the feelings of nationalism and the problems of the people after the exile. Sevki wrote many poems about the Ottoman caliphs and the Turks, whom he saw as saviors who managed to solve the problems of the people. Examining the works written by Ahmet Şevki in almost every field of literature and in many different contents is worth researching. Our thesis is entitled Ahmet Şevki as a Poet and Edip in Arabic Literature as we aimed at filling in the gap in this field and we carried out a comprehensive study so as to reveal his contribution to literature. For this purpose, we examined all the works he wrote in the field of theater and novel, especially his book entitled Şevkiyyat, which contains most of his works. We also translated into Turkish and evaluated the parts that are remarkable in terms of style and content. Our thesis consists of four parts. In the first part, the definition of the problem, the purpose of the thesis, scope, literature study will be discussed. The second part will focus on the history of Egypt until Şevki's time, along with Egypt's sociocultural and political structure and Egyptian Arabic literature during the period of Ahmet Şevki's life. In the third part, Ahmet Şevki's life-works, the classification of his poems, his works on theatre, novels and children's literature, their Turkish translations will be examined.
