Süte ve Buzağı Başlangıç Yemine Katılan Esansiyel Yağ Karışımının Büyüme Performansı ve Bazı Kan Parametreleri Üzerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, süte ve/veya buzağı başlangıç yemi (BBY)'ne esansiyel yağ karışımı (EYK) ilavesinin buzağılarda büyüme performansı, vücut gelişimi, hemotolojik ve biyokimyasal parametreleri, plazma insülin benzeri büyüme faktörü-1 (IGF-1), β-hidroksi bütirat (BHBA) düzeyi ve dışkı skoru üzerine etkisini değerlendirmekti. Çalışmada toplam 32 adet yenidoğan Simental ırkı buzağı her bir grupta eşit sayıda erkek ve dişi olacak şekilde kontrol, deneme 1, deneme 2 ve deneme 3 grubuna rastgele dağıtıldı. Kontrol grubuna EYK karışımı içermeyen süt+BBY, deneme 1'e süt (0,06 ml/lt/gün EYK)+BBY, deneme 2'ye süt+BBY (1 kg/ton EYK) ve deneme 3'e süt (0,06 ml/lt/gün EYK)+BBY (1 kg/ton EYK) verildi. Çalışma 56 gün sürdü. Çalışma sonunda, süte ve/veya BBY'ne katılan EYK'nın buzağılarda büyüme performansı, hematolojik parametreler ile serum glukoz, kolesterol, üre, total protein, albumin, globulin, albumin/globulin düzeylerini etkilemediği belirlendi. Süte ve/veya BBY'ne katılan EYK'nı tüketen buzağıların dışkı skorları diğer gruplardakilere göre önemli düzeyde (P<0,05) iyileşti. BBY'ne EYK ilave edilen gruplarda plazma BHBA değerleri kontrol ve süte EYK ilave edilen gruba göre daha düşük (P<0,05) bulundu ancak bu farklılık performans parametrelerini etkilemedi. Sütten kesme yaşında en yüksek IGF-1 değerinin ve en düşük TOS konsantrasyonunun (P<0,05) hem süte hem de BBY'ne EYK ilavesi yapılan grupta olduğu belirlendi. Sonuç olarak, hem süte hem de BBY'ne EYK ilavesinin buzağılarda sütten kesim zamanı canlı ağırlığı %6,58 düzeyinde arttırması, IGF-1 konsantrasyonunu yükseltmesi ve TOS değerini düşürmesi nedeniyle büyümeyi stimüle edici bir potansiyele sahip olabilir.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of essential oil blend (EOB) supplementation to milk and/or calf starter feed (CSF) on growth performance, body development, haematological and biochemical parameters, plasma insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), β-hydroxy butyrate (BHBA) levels and faecal score in calves. In the study, a total of 32 new-born Simmental calves were randomly assigned to control groups, trial 1, trial 2 and trial 3 groups with equal number of males and females in each group. The control group received milk+ CSF without EOB mixture, trial 1 received milk (0.06 ml/lt/day EOB) + CSF, trial 2 received milk+ CSF (1 kg/ton EOB) and trial 3 received milk (0.06 ml/lt/day EOB) + CSF (1 kg/ton EOB). The study lasted 56 days. At the end of the study, it was determined that the addition of EOB to milk and/or CSF did not affect growth performance, haematological parameters and serum glucose, cholesterol, urea, total protein, albumin, globulin, albumin/globulin levels in calves. The faecal scores of the calves that consumed EOB added to milk and/or CSF improved significantly (P<0.05) compared to the other groups. Plasma BHBA values were lower (P<0.05) in the groups in which EOB was added to CSF compared to the control group and the group in which EOB was added to milk, but this difference did not affect the performance parameters. At weaning age, the highest IGF-1 value and the lowest TOS concentration (P<0.05) were found in the group in which EOB was added to both milk and CSF. As a conclusion, the addition of EOB to both milk and CSF may have a growth stimulating potential as it increased the live weight at weaning time by 6.58%, increased the IGF-1 concentration and decreased the TOS value in calves.
