Abstract
This research aimed to determine the graft compatibility in some chestnut genotypes selected from the Black Sea Region. The study was carried out in Samsun in 2003-2009. In the study, three chestnut genotypes (SA 5-1, SE 21-9 and 554-14) were used as both scion and rootstock. In order to determine the graft compatibility, graft success, growth of the scion shoot, and abnormalities at graft union and survival ratio in the years after grafting were investigated. Consequently, compatible and incompatible graft combinations were determined.
