Abstract
Bu çalışma üniversite öğrencilerinin insan ilişkilerinde manipülasyon ve kendini sabotaj düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 577 lisans öğrencisinin sağladığı veri ile oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma örneklemi basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenmiş ve çalışma betimsel tarama modellerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Öğrencilerin ikili ilişkilerde manipülasyon düzeylerinin ölçülmesinde Yılmaz (2018) tarafından geliştirilen 'İnsan İlişkilerinde Manipülasyon Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin kendini sabotaj düzeylerine ilişkin verilerin toplanmasında Jones ve Rhodewalt (1982) tarafından geliştirilen; Akın (2012) tarafından Türk kültürüne uyarlanması yapılan 'Kendini Sabotaj Ölçeği (KSÖ)' kullanılmıştır. Verilerin istatiksel analizinde parametrik olmayan Spearman Brown Sıra Farkları Korelasyon Katsayısı, Mann Witney-U ve Kruskal Wallis testleri ile parametrik testlerden Bağımsız Örneklem t Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda üniversite öğrencilerinin insan ilişkilerinde manipülasyon eğilimleri arttıkça kendini sabotaj düzeylerinin arttığı bulunmuştur.
This study was prepared to investigate the relationship between manipulation and self-handicapping levels in human relations of university students. The research consists data collected from 577 undergraduate students studying in Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2018-2019 educational year. The research sample size was determined by simple random sampling method and the study was prepared by using a relational screening model of descriptive survey models. The 'Manipulation in Human Relations Scale' developed by Yılmaz (2018) was used to collect the data of level of manipulation in bilateral relations. 'Self-Handicapping Scale' developed by Jones and Rhodewalt (1982) and adapted to Turkish culture by Akın (2012) was used for measurement of students' self-handicapping levels. In the statistical analysis of the data, nonparametric Spearman Brown Row Differences Correlation Coefficient, Mann Witney-U and Kruskal Wallis tests and parametric Independent Sample T Test were used. As a result of the research, it was found that the self-handicapping levels of university students increased as the manipulation tendencies increased in human relations.
