3-(2,6-Dimethylanilino) Isobenzofuran-1(3H)-One

Abstract

The crystal structure of the title compound, C<inf>16</inf>H <inf>15</inf>NO<inf>2</inf>, is stabilized by two C-H⋯O intermolecular hydrogen bonds. C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds which generate C(6) chains and R<inf>3</inf>3(14) motifs. The phthalide ring system of the molecule is almost planar and forms a dihedral angle of 51.7 (2)° with the benzene ring. © 2006 International Union of Crystallography. All rights reserved.
