Abstract
ÖZET: Amaç: Laküner infarktlar ile anjiyotensin dönüştürücü enzim (ADE) geni insersiyon / delesyon (I/D) polimorfızmi arasında ilişki olup olmadığını araştırmak. Gereç- Yöntem: Bilgisayarlı Beyin Tomografisinde (BBT) laküner infarktı olan 23 hasta ile BBT 'si normal olan 26 kontrol hastası çalışmaya alındı. Hasta ve kontrol grubunda yaş, cinsiyet, hipertansiyon, diabetes mellitus, kalp hastalığı, hiperlipidemi ve sigara gibi risk faktörleri belirlendi. Hasta ve kontrol grubunda venöz kan örneğinde polimerize zincir reaksiyonu (PCR) yöntemiyle ADE gen I/D polimorfızmi araştırıldı. Bulgular: Hasta grubunda yaş ortalaması ve hiperlipidemi görülme sıklığı kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı olarak yüksek bulundu (sırasıyla p<0.01 ve p< 0.05). ADE geni I/D polimorfızmi açısından yapılan karşılaştırmada hasta ve kontrol grubu arasında anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmedi (p>0.05). Sonuç: Çalışılan grupta laküner infarkt ile ADE geni I/D polimorfızmi arasında anlamlı bir ilişki saptanamamıştır. ABSTRACT: Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between cerebral lacunar infarction and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) insertion / deletion ( I / D) polymorphism. Material - Method: 23 patients with cerebral lacunar infarct diagnosed by computed tomography (CT) and 26 controls with normal CT were studied. In both groups, as risk factors age, sex, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cardiac disease, hyperlipidemia and cigarette were identified. ACE gene I/D polymorphism were detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results: Avarage age and incidence of hyperlipidemia were high in lacunar infarct group (p<0.01 and p<0.05 respectively). There was no difference in both groups from the respect of ACE gene I/D polymorphism. Conclusion: There has been no association between ACE gene I/D polymorphism and lacunar infarcts.
